The Three Great Adventurer Quests!
In response to Hermes's question, Roy replied, "No one should be unaware of them."
A thousand years ago, three powerful monsters emerged from the Dungeon onto the surface, causing devastating calamities to countless nations and cities. The number of people who died because of them was beyond counting.
Orario possessed the world's top fighting force.
The collective wish of people worldwide was the commission to Orario to subjugate these three monsters:
The King of the Land—Behemoth! The Tyrant of the Sea—Leviathan! The Symbol of the End—The Black Dragon!
The first two were defeated by the Zeus and Hera Familias ten years ago. Only the Black Dragon remained, whose immense power was so great that it even led to the downfall of those two great Familias.
This Black Dragon still slept in the distant north of the continent, at the edge of the world.
Hermes seemed to transform into the world's most eloquent orator, passionately recounting the Three Great Adventurer Quests to Roy, his inspiring voice moving the listeners.
But Roy remained like an unyielding stone, watching Hermes's performance as if it were a play.
Hermes broke into an excited smile. "Little Roy, the world yearns for a Hero to appear. Become a Hero! You have the qualifications!"
"I'll do my best."
Roy immediately understood what Hermes was aiming for: to trick him into going to defeat the Black Dragon. You've got some nerve.
Hermes was in good spirits. He patted Roy on the shoulder. "I have high hopes for you!"
Roy watched Hermes leave. He wasn't swayed by the praise. Defeat the Black Dragon? What a joke. I don't even qualify to be cannon fodder right now!

Roy pulled up his status interface. The total increase in all his status values was 1412. Unlike the time he defeated the Goliath, this time he had defeated a Level 3 adventurer solo.
Level 4 Goliath plus Level 3 Hyakinthos had become his stepping stones; he had successfully completed a great achievement (Weiye).
$$\text{Achievement Completed, Do you want to Level Up?}$$
Roy clicked "No," closing the Level Up interface.
Defeating Hyakinthos had given him a taste of breaking the limits of his status values. Each time he leveled up, he wanted to be invincible at his current level and have the capital to challenge higher levels.
His targets were not the low-level adventurers in Orario, but the few people standing at the pinnacle:
"Braver" Finn, "Goliath" Gareth, "Sword Princess" Ais Wallenstein, "Juggernaut" Ottar...
These people always had mostly S999 panels whenever they leveled up. To catch up to them, or even defeat them, he needed higher numerical values.
After all, those individuals possessed racial talents.
Roy knew that as an ordinary human, he was inherently inferior to them. If he didn't train his most fundamental status values to the absolute limit, everything else was nonsense.
Time flew by, and three days passed in the blink of an eye.
Roy had completely recovered from the exhaustion of his fierce battle with Hyakinthos and left the Starry Garden alone.
Ryuu, his hired muscle, had been recruited by Goddess Astraea. To Roy, this wasn't necessarily a bad thing; there was one matter he couldn't conveniently bring her along for.
It was the Celtya Treasure Map!
It had dropped from the treasure chest obtained after defeating the Goliath. Robbing the grave of the Elven Royal Family was something he absolutely couldn't let any Elves know about; otherwise, all the Elves in the world would fight him tooth and nail, leading to definite social death.
Roy pulled out the treasure map. It was a detailed parchment, nice to the touch.
When he opened it, it looked like a positioning map.
His current location was marked with a light dot, and the other light dot was undoubtedly the location of the treasure.
Roy did not go directly. In fact, he had taken out the treasure map several times and noticed that the treasure location was constantly moving—sometimes in the far west, sometimes appearing in the middle of the sea...
This kind of movement could not be achieved by ordinary means.
A trace of solemnity entered Roy's eyes; he could already sense the strangeness of this journey.
But not going was impossible!
The treasure map had a built-in one-time teleportation function.
$$\text{Proceed with Teleportation?}$$
The moment Roy clicked "Yes," ripples appeared around him, and the space began to distort.
His body gradually vanished.
When Roy regained his senses, everything in the room was gone. A cool breeze brushed against his face, and what greeted his eyes was an endless expanse of mountains. Verdant forests covered the hills, and the roar of wild beasts echoed from the depths.
"Where is this?"
Roy took out the treasure map and his eyes widened. He was already over three thousand kilometers southeast of Orario. As expected of teleportation, it was terrifying!
And this place was the treasure location.
Roy surveyed his surroundings and followed the map's guidance toward his destination.
Roar!
Suddenly, a lizard the size of a grown man burst out from the thick bushes. Its tongue lashed out like a whip, striking fiercely toward Roy's head.
Roy's expression remained unchanged. He drew the remaining half of his Murasame. The sword light flashed, slicing off the creature's tongue.
Bang!
The sword's tip stabbed forward, piercing the lizard's head. Its entire body instantly turned into dust.
All monsters originated from the Dungeon, but monsters that made it to the surface followed their reproductive instincts and bore offspring. A portion of the power from their magic stone would be split off.
Since the beginning, thousands of years ago, these monsters had continually reproduced, and their power had been diminishing.
Surface monsters couldn't compare to those in the Dungeon and were typically a Level lower.
Roy's top-tier Level 2 adventurer status values meant he could easily slaughter them on the surface.
The magic stones of these monsters were so tiny that Roy didn't even bother to collect them. Killing monsters as he went, passing through winding paths for hundreds of meters, Roy arrived at his destination.
Even without the map, he could clearly feel that this was the treasure location.
It was a circular cave, about three meters in radius. The interior was dark and deep, cold like an abyss. The surroundings were so quiet it was unnerving.
Roy stared at the cave, his gaze firmly held, as if his soul might be swallowed.
"A Level 2 brat dares to come to a place like this? Do you have a death wish?" A pleasant voice suddenly spoke.
Roy's heart jumped. Goosebumps rose all over his body, and his mind cleared instantly. He abruptly turned his head and saw an old woman in gray clothes sitting on a blue stone beneath a large tree, thirty meters to the left of the cave.
Her silver hair was coiled on her head with a hairpin. Though seemingly ancient, her figure and features were flawless and naturally perfect, exuding an air of nobility.
The silver-haired goddess's blood-red eyes stared calmly at Roy, a faint smile playing on her lips.
The figure was perfectly integrated with nature. Even with Roy's sharp senses, he hadn't managed to detect her.
"A God!"
Roy's lips moved slightly. He felt the strong wave of power the figure emitted—Divinity!
Simply put, it was the awe-inspiring presence of a god. Just one glance was enough to know this was a deity!
