Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Back in the presidential suite,Anya and Sebastian sat silently, watching television, lounging on the couch;enjoying each other's company.

Anya was curled up on one end of the couch, her legs tucked under her, while Sebastian was stretched out on the other end, his arm resting on the back of the couch. He was still shocked;still reeling from the realization, but doing his best not to show it. He was a professional when it came to masking his feelings, didn't have to force anything. So he just mostly kept his attention fixed on the screen.

As they watched, Anya glanced in his direction;he was completely absorbed in the show, his eyes fixed on the screen with a look of intense concentration. Anya smiled to herself, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. The show wasn't all that enchanting, but Sebastian's presence seemed to make everything ...perfect for her.

She was really enjoying this, she realized. Just sitting here, doing nothing, with Sebastian. It was so...normal. So domestic.

Anya's mind started to wander, imagining what it would be like to have this kind of relationship with Sebastian. To come home to him every night, to massage the days stress out of his broad shoulders, or just to curl up on the couch together, to read books and watch TV and just...be.

Perfect, she thought. If it were like this forever? She wouldn't complain.

The forever thing still felt like a dream, but with Sebastian, maybe it was possible?

As she daydreamed, her eyes drifted back to Sebastian, and she caught him staring at her. He smiled, and Anya felt her heart skip a beat.

"What?" she asked tentatively, feeling a blush rise to her cheeks.

Sebastian shrugged, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Just enjoying the view."

Anya rolled her eyes, laughing. "You're such a charmer, Wolfe."

Sebastian chuckled. "Hey, I'm just being honest. You're a very enjoyable person to be around."

Anya's heart skipped another beat at the compliment. She was enjoying this, she realized. She was enjoying Sebastian.

As they sat there, the tension between them grew until it was almost palpable. Anya could feel it, like a living, breathing thing. It was exciting, and, a little scary.

But she didn't want it to end.

"Want to play a game?" Sebastian asked again, breaking the silence.

Anya's eyes lit up. "What kind of game?"

Sebastian's smile was mischievous. "I think you'll like it."

Anya's heart skipped a beat. She would, she knew. She seemed to like everything about him.

"Strip poker not exciting enough for you?" She teased, raising an eyebrow.

Sebastian chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, this is a different kind of game, my dear. This is a game of skill, of strategy, of...well, let's just say it's a game that requires a steady hand."

Anya's curiosity was piqued, and she watched as Sebastian retrieved the deck of cards, beginning to shuffle them with a flourish.

"What's the game?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It's called 'Truth or Dare'," Sebastian said, his eyes sparkling with amusement. He put up a finger to silence her before she could protest, and continued. "But with a twist. Instead of just answering questions, you have to complete a challenge."

Anya's heart skipped a beat. This sure sounded like trouble.

"And what's the prize?" she asked, her voice laced with skepticism.

Sebastian grinned. "The winner gets to ask the loser anything they want. Anything at all."

Damn, that sounded even more ominous.

Anya's eyes narrowed. This was getting more interesting by the minute.

"Okay, deal the cards," she said, a determined glee in her eye.

The game began, with Anya and Sebastian taking turns drawing cards and completing challenges. They started with simple tasks, like reciting a poem and doing a funny dance, but as the game went on, the challenges got progressively more difficult.

Anya was a natural, completing each challenge with ease, while Sebastian was struggling to keep up. She was starting to think she'd won, when he pulled out a trump card.

"Okay, Anya, it's your turn," he said, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Draw a card and complete the challenge."

Anya hesitated, sensing a trap. But her curiosity got the better of her, and she drew a card.

The challenge was to sing a love song, with feeling.

Anya's eyes widened in horror. "No way," she said, shaking her head.

Sebastian just grinned. "Come on, Anya. It's just a little fun."

Anya glared at him, but couldn't help but laugh. "Fine," she said, taking a deep breath.

She launched into a rendition of "I Will Always Love You", her voice warbling and off-key. Sebastian joined in, his voice smooth and soulful, and together they belted out the song, laughing and having the time of their lives.

As they finished, Anya collapsed onto the couch, gasping for breath. "That was terrible," she said, giggling.

Sebastian grinned, sitting down beside her. "That was actually kind of amazing."

Anya's heart skipped another beat as he put his arm around her, pulling her close. "You're a very talented woman, Anya," he said, his voice low and husky.

Her eyes locked onto his, her heart pounding hard in her chest. "Thanks," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

And the tension between them grew, the air thickening with unspoken words.

Things were getting out of hand too fast for Anya. She knew she was falling for this irresistibly handsome man way too fast.

But she didn't care. She was having too much fun.

And as they sat there, the silence growing thicker until it was almost unbearable; Anya felt like she was standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to jump off into the unknown.

And then, without a word, Sebastian leaned in and kissed her.

And her whole world spun, her heart soaring high. This was it, she thought. This was the beginning: the start of something really special and amazing.

The kiss was like a spark that ignited a fire within Anya, and she responded with a passion that surprised even herself. Sebastian's lips were warm, soft, and demanding, moving in perfect sync with hers; like they'd been kissing for years.

The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment. Anya's heart raced, her skin tingling with excitement, and she knew that she was exactly where she wanted to be.

As the kiss deepened, Sebastian's arms wrapped around her, pulling her closer. Anya felt a sense of safety and security that she hadn't experienced in such a long time. She felt like she was home, in his arms, and she didn't want to leave.

The kiss went on and on, the world around them fading into the background. Anya was lost in the sensation, her senses on high alert.

As they finally came up for air, Anya's eyes locked onto Sebastian's, a wave of pure unadulterated pleasure washing through her as she saw the same desire, the same passion, and the same adoration reflected back at her.
