The two dawnveil sibbilings rush to the ship which was about to leave for. The ship was about to leave the humble port where mostly small ships were located.
"We need to hurry" Emerion said as he now running in equal footing with his younger sister Arlienne now.
"Yeah you always run off to somewhere brother you really are a perfect runaway" Arlienne can't help to tease her brother even at situation like this.
"Brother why are we running" suddenly Arlienne stop making her brother stop as well. Emerion didn't expect his sister to stop suddenly so he fall butt first as they were holding hands.
"Are you out of your mind now" Emerion said in a bit annoyed voice patting his dust cover black cloack.
"Sorry about that.. but we can just fly to the ship instead of running like idiots right ?" Arlienne said a bit sheepishly faking innocence.
"You remember it now. You panic at the beginning" Emerion sigh.
"Yeah because someone has to be responsible here. Can't just zoom out like you. Come on let's fly now" Arlienne pull her brother. Emerion this time ready fly along with his sister to the ship which was already sailing from the port.
"Alright... Take off done now time for landing" Arlienne said with her confident smirk. The dawnveil sibbilings close the distance between themselves and the ship in very short time. They both land on the hard floor of the deck with a beautiful sea view. Emerion took a sigh of relief. But Arlienne suddenly notice people were staring at them.
"Huh... Great now we are getting unesscry attention" Emerion faceplam. His sister on the other hand just smirk more like she is enjoying it.
"Come on brother smile more you know you can't change what's already happened. So face the present with a smile" Arlienne gave her brother a full teeth smile and thumps up. Emerion just sigh. Before anyone could say anything they were approached by heavy footsteps.
"Intruders.. leave this ship right away or you might get arrested" one of the officer amoung the 3 officer in blue blezer and white pents said to Arlienne and Emerion. Their humble outfit doesn't create a bit of doubt in people's mind that they are from one of the great 6 houses.
"Intruders ? Is this how you behave to your passengers officer ?" Arlienne said with smirk and challenging look. The aggressive looking officer look dumbfounded before grabbing the coller of Arlienne's black shirt.
"This ship works on Leviacore. The ships only nobles or merchants or top military persons can afford. Do you want me to believe that such commoners like you could even step a foot here" the officer said like he wants to spit at Arlienne's face.
"You sure have a lot of ego because of your dress officer" Arlienne keep her smirk like it's interesting to her. Which only feuls the anger of the officer more.
"What did you say" the officer was about to slap Arlienne then he felt something warm yet dangerous grabbing his hand.
"Kindly don't resort to voilance officer" Emerion said with a straight face. His palm glowing blue means he can cast a spell if things escalate further. Seeing the tension the ship captain step forward. He had grey mustage wearing same dress as the officers before but he was wearing a blue cap and 3 stars on his shoulders means he is the captain of the ship.
"What's happening here" the captain asks in authoritive voice. Emerion freeded the hand of the officer. Seeing the stern look of the captain the officers decided to play the victim card.
"Captain.. these intruders were resorting to voilance when asked about their intentions" one of the three officer said putting an innocent face.
"Yes they were about to cast a spell." Another one of the officer said.
"Yes I saw that too" the other one said. The captain then turn to the dawnveil sibbilings. Emerion was about to speak but his sister stop him.
"Your officers surely know how to treat their passengers officer. I hope their captain is nothing like them. The recent records don't add much leverage to your reputation to your ship as well" Arlienne said in mix of sarcasm and mockingness. The crawod has gathered amoug them who were shocked but most were entertain despite the ship contains various other things of entertainment.
"Pardon me my lady. But do you have ticket with you to verify that you are not intruder" the captain ask in stern but respectful tone.
"Of course here" Arlienne handed over the ticket. The captain examine it and nod.
"It seems you are telling the truth. My appoligies on the behalf of my staff. They are young" the captain give a slight respectful bow taking off his cap and holding it close to his chest.
"It's no problem" Arlienne smile handling the situation. But the one agressive officer felt his pride wounded.
"But her companion almost attacked us" he said looking at Emerion with hatred. The other two officers just nod.
"That's because you grabbed the coller of this lovely lady" one of the girl with blonde hair and blue eyes who was wearing a sleeveless black top said with confidence. Who looks like 12 years old kid but by her voice clearly not.
"Hey hey now who do you think you are" the aggressive looking officer said.
"Yeah mind your own business" the other officer said.
"Oh you can't just dismiss me like that. Justice must be served. We all saw the officer grabbed this lady's shirt collar right" she said clapping her hands looking at the crawod who looks hesitant to step forward.
"Come on they can harras you guys next. So I ask you again we all saw what he did right" the girl ask again and clap her hands two times now. One man step forward and said
"Yes I saw it" another step forward
"Yes I saw it too"
"The officer was being aggresive"
"He was about to harash the lady"
The ship's deck filled with voices. The officers faces paled. The captain sigh and turn to dawnveil sibbilings.
"My deepest appoligies. I don't think anything can make up to the harm but... I can give you your money back and give you free ride to your destination. It's the least I can do" the captain said looking at Emerion and Arlienne with appoligic expression.
"It would be much appreciated." Arlienne said with her sweet polite voice once she used to get upper hand in her family's council meetings.
"I will arrange that soon" the captain said then he turns to the officers.
"You three come with me" the captain said in stern voice the officers looked more paled the captain turns to leave. One of the officer looked at the blonde hair girl with a expression of shock and something like bitreyal. They followed their captain.
"Thank you for being our witness" Arlienne said holding the hands of the blonde hair girl. Who just smile.
"No worries it my pleasure that I brought them to justice. I am Ririyen it's a pleasure" she said looking at us.
"I am Arlienne and this is my brother Emerion" Arlienne let go of Ririyen's hands.
"You didn't tell me your last names ?" Ririyen ask in curiosity. Emerion look worried for a second but let his sister handle it. After all she is good at lying.
"We didn't tell because.." Arlienne put a expression of shame
"Because we are bastards" Arlienne said faking shame and avoid eye content to add more conviction. Arlienne's statement even catch Emerion off guard but he decided to play along he put a hand on his sister's shoulder closing his eyes faking sympathising..
"We never knew our parents. We brought up by a retired soldier. He was closed to dawnveil family so he named us after dawnveil children Emerion and Arlienne" Emerion said clenching his fist. His expression showed pain even though he was lying. He used to lie often to avoid his training and read more storybooks as a kid now it's giving him an edge. The art of lying.
"I am sorry I shouldn't have asked that... " Ririyen bow slightly with appoligic tone. Arlienne shook her head.
"It's fine" Arlienne said in her soft voice. Emerion noticed the crawod which gathered before didn't go they were also sympathiesing with them some are even crying. At this moment Emerion thought maybe they have done so much. To their rescue suddenly drumps and xphones played. Shifting the mood of the crawod insteadly. Ririyen suddenly cough covering her mouth with a handkerchief.
"I need to leave. I will see you around guys bye. I am sorry again" Ririyen leave quickly Emerion thought for a moment if they got caught.
"Do you think we overacted" Emerion asks his sister who just shurg it off.
"No we acted perfectly and this trip is going to be very interesting" she said in a bit dramatic way a glow of curiosity and madness of her nullborne factor in her face which Emerion is familiar with. He sigh.
"Let's just hope we reach our destination" with that Emerion walks away. To the room they booked.
"Hey don't leave me alone brother" Arlienne follow Emerion inside the ship.
