Dawn by the sea seemed to arrive particularly early. After a comfortable lie-in at Bill's lighthouse, Gary was awakened by the sea breeze and sunlight.

Rubbing his messy, spiky hair, Gary, wearing Pikachu slippers, yawned and headed to the kitchen.

First, he brewed two cappuccinos, using milk foam to create a Chikorita leaf pattern.

Then, buttered toast, egg, and ham salad—the human breakfast was ready.

Afterward, he opened Bill's warehouse and brought out the highest-grade Pokemon canned food.

"Everyone, come out." He casually opened the poké balls, and all the large and small Pokemon in the house lined up, looking at the cans in Gary's hand.

Scyther nearly drooled, then suddenly realized its image as a cold and aloof warrior was at risk. It quickly closed its eyes, feigning sleep, and pretended to be a master of assassination even in dreams.

Eevee, Growlithe, and Rhydon formed a Wi-Fi symbol, their tails wagging in sync.

Only Charmeleon was normal, sitting on the ground, banging its food bowl loudly…

"This rebellious child…" Gary smiled helplessly, looking at Charmeleon's "I'm hungry and I'm right" expression.

Each companion received three cans of premium food, plus two bottles of Moomoo Milk. Finally, the injured Growlithe got two scoops of protein supplement, while Rhydon devoured a pile of supplements.

Food bowls were placed in front of each Pokemon, and they looked at Gary with eager eyes.

Gary nodded with satisfaction: "Everyone, eat~"

Instantly, the three biggest eaters in the house—Charmeleon, Scyther, and Rhydon—began their bulldozer-like eating mode.

Eevee's eating was much more elegant, daintily taking small bites and even sparing a sweet smile for Gary.

Compared to these old companions, Growlithe lowered its head, took a bite, and teared up.

Could it eat such delicious food every day? Gary also applied medicine, brushed its fur, and patted its head.

"Awooo~" Growlithe howled to the sky, then burrowed into Gary's arms, a genuine display of affection that couldn't be faked.

"Alright, alright, eat properly. Your wound hasn't fully healed yet." Gary stroked Growlithe, gently comforting it.

Eevee shook its head, continuing to eat. It understood this feeling; when it was first sent from the Research Institute to Gary, it was even more exaggerated than Growlithe…

Its master was a soft-hearted god!

Therefore, it must help its master achieve his dream. Little Eevee secretly cheered itself on, then continued to eat diligently.

"Gary~ You made breakfast… You worked hard… Oh my god! My premium Pokemon food!? And Moomoo Milk, help, you guys are going to eat me out of house and home!" Bill, who had just woken up, rubbed his hair, his eyes wide in disbelief.

"Tsk tsk tsk, what's wrong with eating a little? You rich dog, you can't go broke from this, can you?" Gary retorted, both amused and exasperated.

"What do you think? My doctoral stipend has always been the same; domestic researchers have it tough, okay?" Bill's response was a PR disaster.

"Give me a break. If your stipend doesn't increase, find your own problems. Have you been serious about your research these past two years? Why hasn't your salary gone up?" Gary pouted.

"I just want to ask… are you leaving today?" Bill resignedly slumped over the dining table.

"Uh huh, I'll let everyone play on the beach for a while this morning, then we'll leave after lunch." Gary shrugged.

"Good then, safe travels and don't let the door hit you on the way out!"

Whoosh! Feeling light, Gary's mouth twitched as he watched himself, along with his armchair, being thrown out of the lighthouse by Bill. "Are you asking for a beating…?"

Fortunately, Bill eventually saw the error of his ways and let Gary come back for breakfast.

After all, with Scyther's scythes at his throat, Bill knew the gravity of the situation.

After breakfast, perhaps stimulated by Gary, Bill plunged into his laboratory early in the morning to research literature and write papers.

Gary, meanwhile, packed his luggage and took his Pokemon to the beach.

"Alright, everyone, relax and play for a while. After lunch, we'll continue our journey to Vermilion City," Gary said, clapping his hands.

Eevee ran on the beach for a while, seemed to get tired, and then began the great endeavor of digging in the sand.

Soon, only a fluffy tail could be seen adorably wiggling in the sand pile.

Charmeleon lazily yawned and, along with Growlithe, the water-fearing duo, comfortably sunbathed.

Scyther, as always, was diligent, standing in the tide, attempting to Slash the waves.

To Gary's surprise, the large Rhydon, surprisingly, was not afraid of water.

After doing two stretches by the sea, Rhydon took a mighty plunge directly into the water!

"This guy!" Gary stood up in surprise.

Being able to swim indicated that this Rhydon's affinity for Water-type moves was definitely not low. If so, it was very likely to have mastered a move that was completely out of character for it!

Splash! Just as Gary expected! The next second, a huge wave rose from the coastline.

And above the giant wave, Rhydon rode the Surf, majestic and imposing.

"It really can Surf!!" Gary's eyes gleamed. As a Rhydon that could swim, its quadruple weakness to Water-type moves was almost negligible.

If it also learned Flamethrower, tsk tsk~ that would be quite a sight.

"Awoo un~!!" Approaching the shore, Rhydon's expression suddenly changed.

Gary looked closely; it turned out Scyther was still within the range of the Surf.

"Whoosh~" Looking at the oncoming wave, Scyther didn't dodge, raising its blades.

A white light enveloped it, Scyther's two scythes retracted behind its back, and it crouched slightly.

Clang!! The next second, a massive crescent-shaped Slash cut across the wave, flying directly into the sky.

Thud, Rhydon fell on its backside, looking at Scyther in surprise.

Scyther's mouth curved upwards, revealing a hint of a proud smile.

Just now, it tried to use a sonic boom-like technique for a single Slash, and the effect was surprisingly excellent!

"Well done." Gary came over to the two Pokemon: "You two really surprise me."

Rhydon scratched its head sheepishly; it just found swimming very comfortable. When it was a Rhyhorn, it often secretly took baths, and now that it had evolved and had strong limbs, it decisively developed the skill of swimming.

"Whoosh~" Scyther swung its scythes. It was a blade warrior; Gary always told it to Slash faster and farther, and it had done it.

Watching Gary praise Scyther and Rhydon, Charmeleon lazily yawned, then tilted its head at Growlithe: "Bro, wanna train?"

Growlithe nodded excitedly, and the two small Pokemon separated a distance, beginning a Flamethrower duel.

Charmeleon's flames were more deep red, while Growlithe's flames were a bright orange.

With the sun's enhancement, the Flamethrower attacks from both sides were not to be underestimated.

Boom!! An explosion ended the flame clash.

Gary nodded in pleasant surprise; Growlithe's level wasn't as high as Charmeleon's, but its use of flames was clearly very skilled.

Looking at his talented Pokemon, Gary breathed a sigh of relief: "It's time to go to the next Gym."

"Boo-ee?~" Eevee, covered in sand, emerged from the sand pit. What happened? Did it miss something?

"Little cat, come here for a brush." Gary picked Eevee out of the sand pit and began his daily affection training.

Each Pokemon has different cleaning methods, but brushing, bathing, and polishing the body are all good ways to increase affection with a Pokemon partner.

Under the sun, Gary sat on the beach, gently brushing Eevee's fur, while the other Pokemon sat obediently around him.

Bill looked at the scene on the beach through the window and couldn't help but nod: "This kid, maybe he really can win a Championship or something."
