Chapter 2 - 1.

Damn that woman.

Tissaia held eye contact with the woman for a brief moment, her face devoid of any expression, she looked down and automatically picked up her pen to look busy, somehow, even though her door was closed, whenever her door was closed, Yennefer always seemed to pick up whenever something might be wrong, like they were connected, and Tissaia didn't trust that feeling one bit.

She hated it, because now here she was, staring blankly at the words on the page, pen in her hand and she didn't move, she'd actually fumbled for the pen. Fumbled. Just one look from that woman not even in the same room as her was enough for her to slightly lose control. Tissaia couldn't have that.

She stood up rather abruptly and put the pen down, she glanced up, making sure that her hair was still in the tight bun she'd placed it in and studied Yennefer for a moment who has gone back to setting her laptop up at her desk. Tissaia wanted to know more about her, she'd only known her for a few months, but she was a very good judge of character and beneath the soft and caring purple eyes, she noticed all the inappropriate jokes and the darker side to her that aligned with herself, an endless void of questions that arise whenever she merely looked at the woman.

And Tissaia needed the answers.

She pressed her lips together and made sure that her white buttoned up shirt, albeit with the first two buttons undone, was still stucked into her tight black jeans. She walked to her door and swung it open before she looked at Yennefer with a blank face. "My office." She said, she noticed a few other teacher's in the room but didn't pay them any attention, there would be time to talk to Triss and Rita later.

Yennefer looked up at Tissaia, she'd barely just gotten set up and Tissaia never called her into the office this early, not ever. She gave a brief nod and watched as she headed back into her office, unable to help but look beyond the glass windows and let her gaze travel downwards. Yennefer was conscious enough to not let a groan leave her lips at the swaying of them hips, the tight black jeans accentuating every curve of her delectable ass and the tight strong thighs which surely implied that the woman worked out, however the thought of Tissaia at a gym made Yennefer snigger softly.

She stood up, and knocked on the door before entering the office, letting the door shut behind her softly to see the woman now sat at her desk. How long had she been staring at her, watching her like some creep. "Y...you wanted to see me?" Yennefer started off as she walked slightly closer to her mentor. Yes, she was an independent woman, but she hadn't always been that way, and no one scared her like Tissaia scared her, she'd never been so shy around anyone.

Tissaia nodded acutely, pen once again motionless in her hand and she stayed silent for a moment pondering what to say next. She wasn't even sure why she'd pulled her into the office, she didn't have any work for her, she had simply wanted her closer. "Yes." She leaned back in her chair, hands resting on her stomach gently, to which Yennefer had to refrain from staring at how that seemed to highlight her breasts more. "I wanted to see how you were settling in? It's been a few months and I want to make sure you're still happy with your position." She stated blankly.

Yennefers purple eyes were trained by now in Tissaia's presence to keep above neck level, but it was a challenge. "You care if I'm happy?" She casually joked, it was a habit, especially when she was nervous, a habit from her younger years that she'd never quite got rid of. Seeing no reaction from Tissaia or a hint of amusement she cleared her throat and nodded. "Yes. I'm happy with my position. I think I've settled in well, though I'm sure that's for you to decide." She replied professionally.

Tissaia nodded, shuffling forward slightly against the wooden chair to get her back off the hard frame, she closed her eyes for a moment and clenched her jaw, barely managing to stop the groan of discomfort escaping her lips. Yennefer frowned, she didn't miss anything when it came to her boss, she'd heard of her reputation, or what some people thought of her, she didn't care. "You're in pain." Yennefer said softly and took a step forward but was stopped when her mentor held up a hand.

"I'm quite well." Tissaia responded coldly, but the hand she held up shook for a moment, her body was stiff, and her eyes gave away the lie faster than her mouth could. Yennefer cocked an eyebrow up and tilted her head to the side with a smirk. "Sure you are. That's why you're tense." She joked and crossed her arms over her chest. "You know, I'd be happy to just launch that chair at Stregobor if you wanted me to." She joked gently.

Yennefer was already a bit worried, Tissaia had called her in early, even before she was settled, she didn't seem as cold hearted today, and she was hiding the fact that she was in pain, but what worried her even more deeply, was the fact that Tissaia had laughed, actually laughed at her comment. "Wow." She muttered out softly. "That bad?" She asked kindly. Tissaia raised an eyebrow at her mutter but immediately realised what she meant, if she hadn't been focused on the ever growing stiffness in her back, she might have spared the energy to blush. "Yes. I can laugh. I am human." She replied before leaning back in the chair again.

Yennefer pursed her lips slightly. "Jokes too?" She teased gently, the air was thick with a tension that she didn't quite understand and they'd completely avoided talking about her settling in, but Yennefer wasn't concerned about that now. Seeing her lean back she shook her head and walked towards her mentors desk. "No." She demanded but softly, cutting off what was a start to Tissaia protesting that she was fine.

"If you think I'm going to go and sit back out there less than a few meters away from you when I know you're in pain, and I didn't do anything to help..." She trailed off and shook her head. She would not allow that to happen. Yennefer now stood behind Tissaia, no wonder her back hurt, the chair only came up to her middle back, she probably couldn't even relax properly against it. Hesitantly, Yennefer lifted up her hands and placed them on Tissaia's shoulders, she froze, scared for a moment that Tissaia would shake off the contact, but nothing came.

Yennefers mouth had gotten so dry that she'd forgotten she could speak, mostly surprised at the fact that she hadn't been snapped at yet or told not to touch her. "Lean forward." She whispered softly, her hands gently squeezing Tissaia's shoulders, thumbs gently brushing over the silk shirt beneath her touch.

"How did you know?" Tissaia asked weakly.

"Because I know you...at your core." Yennefer responsed honestly.
