One hour before Don received his Quest…
Far from the planet Sovret.
Outside the galaxy he was transported to.
There, in the vast emptiness of space, floated a massive warship the size of a small planet.
It resembled a trident with three heads—and at the end of each head was a cannon in a state of dormancy, looking like an eye waiting to open and show the universe how insignificant it truly was.
The ship was colored green and black, moving through the heart of space like a silent predator, followed by a fleet of vessels bearing an emblem:
A giant tree surrounded by numerous black thorns.
If one looked closely, they would see that every thorn emerging from the tree was piercing a human-like figure.
This was the logo of the Kingdom of Bardona.
The Kingdom of Verdure and Agony.
This was a reconnaissance convoy.
Inside the warship, standing in the command room, was a living beauty.
She had silky green hair that made the most beautiful grass seem dead by comparison. Her green eyes radiated the intent of death itself.
She wore a black combat suit with green stripes and the Kingdom's emblem on her right shoulder—yet the suit couldn't hide her perfectly proportioned physique.
This was Princess Diana Genever V, the sole heir of the Kingdom of Bardona.
She stood gazing into the darkness of space.
Waiting.
Then…
Ting.
The viewing screen changed.
The darkness of space transformed into a field of dense green grass filled with all kinds of wonders: birds, horses, lions—all types of animals, but made of living vegetation.
In the center of this field stood a gigantic tree—supremely perfect and beautiful—surrounded by all manner of green wonders.
Beneath it sat a copy of Diana.
But this version was older. More beautiful. Her green eyes radiated wisdom and the experience of ages.
She was feeding a rabbit.
Several birds sat upon her shoulders.
Squirrels adorned her beautiful hair with flowers, enhancing her beauty.
A horse rested at her feet.
It was like paradise.
This was the Queen Mother.
Queen Genever I.
The First Ruler of the Kingdom.
The Ruler of Verdure and Death.
When Diana looked at her, she immediately knelt and said with all the voice she could muster:
"Long live the Queen Mother, the pride of the Kingdom!"
Everyone on the ship followed suit.
Their voices filled the expanse of space with their greetings—a chorus of loyalty echoing through the void.
The Queen Mother raised her hand.
Silence fell immediately.
She looked at Diana and said warmly:
"Diana, you have grown so much. How old are you now? Three hundred years?"
She smiled.
"You're starting to look a lot like me. Hahaha."
It was a short laugh.
Yet every man on the ship found his mind extinguished—unable to think, unable to move.
"Now, Diana," the Queen Mother continued, her tone turning playful. "I want you to do something for me."
She leaned forward slightly.
"But don't tell your mother or your aunts, okay?"
She winked mischievously.
Diana immediately knew she was in trouble.
She knew the personality of the Queen Mother well—she was the last person who truly cared about matters of governance or the Kingdom's politics.
But what could she do?
While still kneeling, she replied:
"Anything for you, Queen Mother."
The Queen Mother smiled and said in a playful tone:
"Leave the warship in the care of the crew to complete their mission. Take a reconnaissance vessel with some Stage Two warriors, and I want you to go to a nearby galaxy."
She paused.
"It will take you eleven hours to get there. I will send you the exact coordinates."
Her tone turned slightly more serious.
"It is a reconnaissance and information gathering mission. Don't get too involved, alright, my dear?"
Diana didn't know what to do.
She had direct orders from her own mother.
But what was her mother compared to the Queen Mother?
She bowed her head lower.
"All your wishes shall be fulfilled, Queen Mother."
Diana looked up at the Queen Mother one last time—and heard Her response.
The view returned to space once more.
"That's my favorite girl."
Diana moved.
She gave instructions to everyone on the bridge.
Now, she would execute the orders.
She said in her mind, like a mantra:
For the Kingdom.
For Life.
For Salvation.
