Chapter 1 - After seven centuries

Before the chapter 00

Seven centuries ago, when the world was still young and the stars hung low enough for dreamers to brush with their fingertips, the seven great kingdoms united for the first—and final—time in recorded history.

Their gathering was not born of diplomacy, nor trade, nor hope.

It was born of fear.

Fear of one man.

Zevran Maelborn, the Dark Lord of the Abyss, had risen beyond the limits of mortal strength. With mastery over forbidden arts, he bent armies to his will, toppled proud nations, and reduced kings to quivering shadows of themselves. His cold blue eyes burned like frozen fire, stripping hope from anyone who dared stand before him. More than any tyrant before or after, Zevran came closest to reshaping the world in his own image.

Unable to kill him, the seven kingdoms resorted to the unthinkable. Through rituals long forbidden and steeped in ancient blood, they forged the Seal of Eternum—a binding powerful enough to drag Zevran's soul into the depths of the earth. His body crumbled to ash, but his hatred survived, chained in darkness.

Time marched on.

Kingdoms rose and collapsed.

New empires replaced old ones.

His name slipped from memory—first becoming legend, then myth, until it vanished entirely.

But hatred does not die.

Hatred waits.

Seven hundred years later, on the night the ancient seal cracked, a child came into the world beneath a shattering eclipse. He did not cry. He only opened his eyes—eyes of cold, predatory blue—and stared at the world as though it were prey laid bare before him. His hair was dark and wild, his presence unsettling. The midwives whispered of an old prophecy:

"The sealed king returns not as man, but as demon."

Zevran Maelborn had returned—

not as a hero,

not as a man,

but as a demon-born predator, shaped by centuries of rage and bound by fate's cruel hand.

He remembers everything.

The chains that held him.

The betrayal of the seven kings.

The ritual that sealed him alive beneath stone and silence.

Now he walks the world once more. Silent. Terrifying. Consumed by a hunger sharpened over seven long centuries. The kingdoms that forgot him tremble again. Something ancient and familiar stirs in their bones—

a pressure, a darkness, an echo of their oldest fear.

For the evil lord they believed erased from history…

has returned to rewrite it in blood. And so, the greatest threat mankind had ever known has risen once more.

The Dark Lord, now reincarnated as a demon-born being, walks the world again.

His hunger spans seven centuries, and his vengeance upon the seven kingdoms is about to begin.
