Chapter 134 - The lich (3)

Parcy shot the attack towards the dragon, making a hole through its body and the wall behind it, letting the corpse finally rest in peace. It let one last roar as it fell to the ground.

"Now, there's only you left, Lich." He told him, resulting in the lich becoming enraged as dark energy violently came out of his body. He laughed at his comment and looked at him with his eyeless face.

"You have yet to see what I am capable of." The lich shouted at him as his dark purple energy covered the entire ground of the blue room, and suddenly, hundreds of armored skeletons and zombies appeared from the ground, surrounding Parcy as they began to charge at him.

"He had that many undead hidden!?" Parcy said with surprise as he quickly cast multiple explosion spells, dealing with the monsters closer to him immediately. As he continued to spray them with magic, a group of skeletons armed with shields took the front lines, surprising him as it appeared that the shields completely nullified his attacks.

"Magic-proof equipment?"

"Seriously, what a pain!" He shouted, slightly annoyed by the new skeletons. He shot at them with even stronger blasts, but this time he shot at the ground, making them fall into the newly created holes, giving him time to breathe as they couldn't reach him. He took a few quick breaths as he prepared to shoot a star shot at the lich, but couldn't tell him apart from all the skeletons in the room.

"Where the hell is he?-" He wondered as he didn't notice the skeleton slowly creeping up on him.

"Got you."

"The second ill touch you with my necromancy, your soul will be mine!" The Lich thought as he was about to touch him with his cursed hands, when out of nowhere, Clad comes in like a missile, cutting the Lich's body apart.

"W-what!?"

"Who is that and when did he get here!?"

"Me, Janrah, die in such a pathetic way?"

"Impossible!" the lich said in anger, but something quickly came to his mind; he could curse the swordsman. As his shattered head rolled on the ground, dark energy attached itself to Clad's left arm. The man said with his last remaining life force in a cold tone.

"Swordman, I shall curse you to have a terrible fate."

Clad sheathed his blade as Parcy thanked him for saving him from a fate worse than having dirtied clothes.

"Although you will need to see an exorcist for that curse." He said as he looked at his left arm, which was covered in unknown black symbols.

"Uh, yeah," He replied as the two made their way out of the cave.
