Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 — REBIRTH OF THE DEMON SOVEREIGN

Thunder roared across the crimson skies as the world trembled under a single man's laughter.

Bodies of saints, immortals, and celestial guardians floated in ruins around him. Mountains had collapsed, oceans boiled, and the heavens themselves had cracked open like shattered glass.

At the center of the apocalypse… stood a young man in black robes soaked with blood.

His crimson eyes glowed like dying suns.

Mo Xie — the Demon Sovereign of the Nine Abysses.

The most feared cultivator in 3000 realms.

"Mo Xie!"

A voice filled with hatred echoed from above.

An old man with white hair descended, radiating divine light.

The Heavenly Saint of Purity, a being revered by millions.

Mo Xie smirked.

"You old fools really gathered everything just to kill me?" he asked lazily.

Another saint spat, "Your existence threatens the order of Heaven! Today, your evil ends!"

Mo Xie wiped blood from his mouth and chuckled.

"Order? You call your cowardice 'order'?"

Hundreds of divine weapons pointed at him.

He stood alone… and yet he looked down on them.

His shadow stretched unnaturally long, writhing like a living monster.

The heavens themselves roared.

"Mo Xie… DIE!"

A thousand beams of heavenly light descended, swallowing him whole.

The world went silent.

His body disintegrated. His soul shattered. His consciousness faded into the void.

Darkness swallowed everything.

**

Until a heartbeat returned.

Thump.

Thump.

THUMP.

**

A cold breath filled his lungs.

He gasped.

His eyes flew open.

He was lying in a simple wooden bed inside a small, dusty room.

Moonlight trickled through a cracked window.

The air smelled faintly of herbs.

This… was his childhood home.

"…Impossible."

Mo Xie slowly sat up, his fingers trembling.

His hands were small. Smooth.

His arms lacked the scars of ten thousand battles.

He rushed to the old bronze mirror hanging crookedly on the wall.

A boy of sixteen stared back.

Black hair.

Sharp features.

Crimson eyes—though dimmer than his peak.

He raised a shaking hand toward the mirror.

"I… returned?"

Memories flooded his mind.

The Divine Siege.

The betrayal.

The final battle.

Death.

Then—

A timeline.

A past he had lived centuries ago.

A voice whispered in his mind.

"Reincarnation."

Mo Xie's breathing steadied.

A slow smile crept onto his lips.

"So Heaven couldn't handle me even in death."

He clenched his fist.

"Good. This time… I won't just rule the world."

His crimson eyes glowed faintly—

the first spark of the Crimson Fate Eyes awakening.

"I will bend fate itself."

**

Suddenly—

BOOM!

A violent explosion rocked the house.

Mo Xie turned his head sharply.

Outside, flames lit the night sky.

Screams echoed from the courtyard.

He sensed weak auras… but familiar.

He extended his soul sense.

—He recognized them.

A small group of cultivators from the Azure Cloud Sect.

Enemies from his childhood.

The ones who killed his family in this life.

In the past, he was too weak.

He watched helplessly as his parents died.

But now?

His lips curled.

"Perfect chance to test my strength."

He stood, slid open the door, and walked into the burning courtyard.

Five men in sect uniforms surrounded his father, who was badly injured.

"Hand over the treasure map, old man!"

One attacker sneered and raised his sword.

Mo Xie's father trembled, clutching a broken blade.

"You… you won't touch my family—"

The attacker kicked him brutally.

He spit blood onto the ground.

The man raised his sword again.

Slash—

He never swung.

A shadow detached from the darkness and appeared behind him silently.

Mo Xie placed his hand on the man's head.

"You dare raise your sword in my home?"

The man turned, confused.

"Who—"

His sentence ended abruptly.

Mo Xie's eyes glowed red.

Shadow energy surged from his palm.

Crack!

The man's head exploded like a watermelon.

Blood sprayed.

The other attackers froze.

"T-That kid… what—"

Mo Xie stepped forward, hands behind his back, expression calm.

He looked like a young man.

But his presence…

Made grown cultivators tremble.

"You invaded my home," he said softly.

"You threatened my father."

A chilling smile curved his lips.

"Tonight, your terror begins."

He vanished.

SWISH—

A head fell.

SWISH—

Another body split in half.

SWISH—

A throat was crushed.

One attacker dropped to his knees, begging.

"S-Spare me! Please—"

Mo Xie appeared before him, eyes cruel.

"In my last life, I was merciful."

He reached out and grabbed the man's shadow from the ground.

The man screamed as darkness devoured him.

"This life… I am not."

**

A minute later, the courtyard was filled with corpses.

Mo Xie turned to his father, who stared at him in disbelief.

"You… you… who are you?"

Mo Xie knelt, checking his father's wounds.

"I'm your son."

He smiled faintly.

"And from tonight onward… no one in this world will dare touch this family."

He looked up at the burning sky.

His red eyes shone like blood moons.

"Mo Xie died."

"Raven Nightstar is born."

"And this time…"

He stood, the shadows swirling behind him like a demon's wings.

"The world will kneel."
