Ughhh…
A long breath escaped from my mouth, and I watched my breath condense in front of me like white mist dissolving into the air. The weather was piercingly cold, to the point that the tips of my fingers were starting to lose feeling as I stood in the academy's wide courtyard. The place looked almost empty, with only a few students passing by in a hurry, laughing or chatting before leaving. Today was a holiday, so most of the students were probably still asleep, or perhaps getting ready to spend an enjoyable day outside the academy… while I was standing here since seven in the morning, waiting.
Waiting for Zion.
I glanced at my watch again, then slipped my hand back into my pocket, trying to shield it from the cold. Thoughts crept into my head despite myself. Will he really come? Or did he actually decide to ditch me? Most likely he ignored me… after everything I said to him yesterday. I said something stupid—no, outright nonsense. He must think I'm crazy, or at least weird.
