Chapter 6 - Amber Academy 2

When I pushed open the classroom door and stepped inside, I felt as if I were entering another world.

The room was unnervingly elegant… the desks were lined up on both sides with precise symmetry, every seat occupied, no empty spaces or chaos—exactly as I had expected from Amber Academy.

The moment I entered…

all eyes fell on me.

Breaths halted, whispers ceased, and even the movement in the room froze for a moment.

But what weighed heaviest on my heart wasn't the students' gazes… it was the person standing at the blackboard:

Ice Witch, Rina Dorving.

She stood firmly, her white hair cascading over her shoulders like threads of snow, her blue eyes sharp as pure blades of ice.

Her beauty was cold… powerful… everything about her suggested a woman born to be above everyone else.

She said in a rigid tone:

"Why are you late?"

I replied, flustered:

"I… got lost."

She raised an eyebrow slightly, then gestured with her hand without another word:

"Go and sit."

I obeyed silently, taking my seat while dozens of eyes continued to watch me

.

Rina clapped lightly and said:

"Alright… let's continue. Does anyone know how to use the Anya?"

A brief silence fell… then a hand rose in the front row.

Alisa Ritman.

A scion of the Ritman family, one of the highest-ranking families in the Empire.

She was stunning in a way that was hard to describe: her long blue hair flowed like ocean waves at dawn, her sky-colored eyes calm yet sharp with intelligence, and her fair skin accentuated her delicate and elegant features.

Rina said,

"Go ahead, Alisa."

Alisa lowered her hand and began to explain in a calm, deep voice:

"The Anya is the core of magical energy in every individual's body.

It lies just below the heart and acts as a regulator and filter for the flow of power."

Her words came smoothly… as if she were speaking of something innate to her.

She continued:

"To use the Anya, one must first sense its presence. Some feel it as a faint pulse… others as an inner warmth that expands with focus."

Then she added:

"Once the Anya is located, we move to the second stage: gathering energy. We inhale the power, then allow it to flow from the center of the Anya upward through the magical pathways in our bodies…"

She raised her hand slightly, and delicate threads appeared before everyone, shimmering like faint sparks, moving fluidly through the air as if an extension of her will.

A murmur of admiration spread through the class, and even Rina's lips curved into a barely noticeable smile.

"Good… continue," she said, her usual cold tone intact.

"The third stage… is shaping the spell. This is the hardest part, as it depends entirely on the clarity of the image in your mind. The clearer the image, the stronger the spell."

A short girl with purple hair raised her hand:

"Teacher… how do we know if we are shaping the spell correctly?"

Alisa smiled coldly, then produced a transparent thread above her palm.

Suddenly… the air around her froze, and a small ice crystal formed on her hand, delicate, sparkling, perfect to an almost frightening degree.

"This is what a correct formation looks like."

My heart raced as I watched.

Would I ever be able to do this?

"The final stage… is release. Letting the energy flow beyond the limits of the body."

She raised her finger, and the crystal shot upward, turning into cold mist before vanishing.

"Alright, that's enough for today. Let's take attendance…"

Rina grabbed a tablet and quickly began calling names, from the last rank to the first:

His thick black hair fell meticulously over his forehead and shoulders, shining as light reflected on it. His eyes were as white as snow, glowing with an inner light hiding depths no one could measure.

His features were sharp and symmetrical, every part of his face crafted perfectly to balance strength and allure. His arched black eyebrows enhanced his sharpness and charisma, and his strong jaw and well-proportioned mouth added a complete sense of confidence.

Everything about him suggested he was meant to be the center of attention, a person impossible to ignore.

His presence alone made everyone else feel like mere background in his world…

"Haaah."

I let out a long sigh…

This is the main character… truly

beautiful, the world really isn't fair.
