In the dead of night, when the whole village slumbered sun hwa's hazel eyes fluttered open at the sounds of footsteps
Someone had just scaled the walls and was currently scurrying about the yard

she could easily deduce the intruder was currently struggling to break the lock of the kitchen

Her hands quickly wrapped around a short blade, her hazel eyes locked on the door
Yet she made no movement lying motionless while listening to the commotion outside the door
The locks she had purchased for the house were modified and not just any kind of lock that could be picked hence the struggle of the theif just outside the yard
"Why's it so hard to pick" Nian Zhi gritted his teeth in frustration glaring viciously at the silver lock
"Why are you making a fuss, break the lock quickly! If you weren't great at locks
You know i would have never brought you along!" Wu long snorted glaring viciously at Nian Zhi, the terrifying hideous scar that ran through the other half of his face made Nian Zhi tremble
"It's the stupid lock not me!" Nian Zhi gritted his teeth in suppressed anger
He had never encountered a lock like this
"Just as incompetent!" Wu long snorted as he kicked the lock hard
But the doors were sturdy and the lock didn't budge
"That useless bitch guarding so tightly!" Nian Zhi scoffed in disdain
Remembering all sun hwa the fifth wife had brought back, he couldn't help his greedy eyes
"How about we drag the bitch outside first or maybe keep her company indoor boss Wu

"It better be worth it" Wu long warned sternly to which Nian Zhi nodded repeatedly "I also heard the family was recently splitted, she must have some savings on her, we can have a lot of fun with her till dawn and maybe secretly sell her away for more money" hearing Nian Zhi's advice Wu long's brows furrowed but he ultimately said nothing
He was all but a petty thief, he didn't care about other matters other than securing the good
If there was money he'd want that and also the food in the kitchen, he'd get the keys and take everything to his Zhaodi
It hasn't been easy to secure such a woman as beautiful as Zhaodi hence he needed to take care of her well, feed her with the best things and also have her wear the best clothes

With this thought they both begun searching the rooms
The two rooms they searched were empty with a few miscellaneous items which yielded nothing hence after searching nonstop they proceeded to the last room

He only had two moltives find the keys and find the money, other than that Nian Zhi could do whatever he wanted and he Wu long wouldn't interfere

However the cold sensation on his neck made him freeze, the silvery blade glinted under the moonlight revealing a pair of icy cold hazel eyes filled with murderous intent, her soft pink lips was curved into a wicked smile
Before Wu long could turn and register the situation, sun hwa flung a silver blade which pinned his large hand into the wall

He would have never anticipated that he Wu long would be dealt with by a frail woman, who from every angle he looked at her, looked sick
"You….."Wu long's eyes widened as he stared at the pair of murderous hazel eyes

"Fifth wife…." Nian Zhi trembled but before he could wet himself sun hwa kicked him hard, sending him flying several meters back, slamming heavily on the cold wall
"You're from this village Mm? I won't ask who sent you but it's your loss
I've always had a thing for knives, I could dissect your whole being cleanly without any mistake" saying this the knife in her hand drove into Nian Zhi's palm pinning him to the floor
Wu long's constitution was stronger hence he only made occasional muffled groans but Nian Zhi couldn't sit still, he screamed so loud like a pig being slaughtered
Sun hwa was sure the whole village would be stirred by the commotion but she didn't care
It was their good luck to be alive and not ending up as her test subjects
"Spare me fifth wife, it hurts fucking hell it hurts….….." Nian Zhi cried out painfully with tears and snot streaming down
The pungent smell of blood in the air made her stomach churn violently, she rushed out and threw up everything she had in her stomach, then proceeded to rinse her mouth thoroughly.
Already deciding to move to another room the next day but that didn't dampened her mood, she found large ropes tied both men together and dragged them out of her room, outside the yard
She didn't want them ruining her new house hence she knocked both unconscious and dumped them outside the gate
Then found a wooden board and wrote a few characters on it

With her master piece done she headed in cleaned up the blood in her room throughly, then she cleaned both knives and then climbed into the covers and drifted off to sleep

The whole village was in an uproar when dawn broke
The two men who had been unconscious were beaten awake by the masses
Staring at the tightly shut doors of the fifth's household several of them couldn't help speculating
"Nian family's son!" The villagers pointed in shock, wasn't the Nian family's son said to be a scholarly heir

Once he passes the exams our Nian family will file a complaint against this vicious village!" Mrs Nian shouted widely
"Heh, your son was caught in theft and you dare try to slander our village for upholding justice?" Mrs peng snorted staring at Mrs Nian in obvious disdain, the other villagers equally had mirroring disdainful expressions
Some even directly spat
"What is he doing all beaten and battered with Wu long? A well known theif"
"Don't even talk about his face, looking all guilty with no spine but daring to set his sights high!"
"A shameless pair of mother and son"
"A total disgrace! A scholar who steals, a total nuisance" the villagers chattered endlessly, the disdain in each words a glaring jab to Mrs Nian's heart
Mrs Nian unable to bear the disdainful stare pointed her hands furiously

But no one stopped her except everyone begun hitting Nian Zhi again hence Mrs Nian ran around in a fenzy protecting her son from being hit
"Don't hit my Zhi! How dare you hit my Zhi!!!! Wang Fifth wife come out this instant
Daring to implicate and slander a scholar, you must be tired of living!" Mrs Nian shouted loudly earning the sneers of the womens folks
"Fifth wife is a lone woman! You better question your son, what he is doing all tied up in front of the fifth's wife home and worse with a well known notorious thief!" The village women spat loudly
"Bah…. Pretentious spirit, scholar my ass, he should be drowned in cow dung"
The scene sun hwa was welcomed with once she woke up

"Don't make a scene, take both criminals away" the police officers arrived swiftly
Dragging both men away ignoring the wails of Mrs Nian who couldn't stop screaming non stop as she chased after the police
