Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 RE Village (8)

Theodore watched Alcina burst through the castle roof, transforming into her hideous, massive True Form—a black-and-white dragon-like beast.

[Alcina Dimitrescu Phase 2 Activated: True Form]

Her first form was easy to deal with. Even fly swatter could do the job.

Her big cake… so magnificent!

Theodore knew he had limited endurance (VIT 3) and couldn't rely on brute force.

His guns were not upgraded enough to deal with her as well.

He had to be smarter. He immediately activated Wind Walk to maximize his evasion.

[Skill Activated: Wind Walk]

[Effect: +50% speed]

[Duration: 60 seconds]

He dodged a massive wing swipe that obliterated a section of the stone roof, then activated Eagle Eyes.

[Skill Activated: Eagle Eyes]

[Effect: +50% precision]

[Duration: 60 seconds]

"I need to hit a weak spot, now!"

Theodore muttered. He had gone through a much more dangerous boss than her in the soul like series.

She didn't phrase him at all.

He pulled out the Sunlight Spear—a high-damage item from Dark Souls—and hurled the incandescent bolt.

Thanks to his DEX 10 and the Eagle Eyes buff, the spear found its mark, striking a subtle, pulsating organic anchor point beneath her right wing.

The spear struck true, and Alcina let out a massive, wrenching scream.

The holy fire contained within the spear severed the parasitic connection point.

Her massive form spiraled out of control, crashing into the central tower.

'If I could only use the Elden Ring weapon… I could have one shot her…'

Theodore didn't wait. He pulled out an Ascalon sword (a non-magical, high-durability sword) he had purchased and enchanted with a few cheap gems from the Duke previously.

He executed a series of near-impossible jumps, leaping from falling debris to the ruined roof of the tower.

Theodore reached the wreckage just as the beast struggled to free itself.

He pulled out a Hefty Freezing Pot and hurled it at her face, slowing her movements.

THWUMP!

Suddenly, a barrage of bullets hit Alchina's injured shoulder.

It was Ethan, having reached a vantage point, providing vital support with his gun.

"Nice shot, old man!" Theodore yelled.

"The tower's going down!" Ethan screamed back.

"Keep hitting the head!"

Theodore shouted, knowing Ethan's bullets were the perfect distraction.

Theodore saw his opening: Alcina's attention was fully focused on Ethan's painful barrage.

He pulled out a flask containing Estus Soup (a healing item from Dark Souls).

The blessing of Marika was limited. He didn't want to use it often.

The limit he thought was in three digits.

He didn't drink it; instead, he threw the healing, golden liquid onto her exposed tissue, momentarily confusing the parasite's metabolism.

As the beast paused, the glowing, baseball-sized Alcina's Crystal—the core of her life force—became clearly visible on her chest.

Theodore didn't have the magical power in this run, so he relied on pure, buffed momentum.

He sheathed the sword, activated his remaining Wind Walk energy, and executed a powerful, sprinting leap onto the beast's chest.

He used the Estus Flask he had just emptied and rammed the glass shard directly into the Alcina's Crystal.

The simple physical attack was enough.

The crystal shattered, and Alcina let out a final, ear-splitting shriek as her body dissolved into black ash and bone.

[Boss Defeated: Alcina Dimitrescu (True Form)]

[Experience Gained: 5000]

[Level Up]

[Free Point Gained: 2 (Could be used after finishing the run)

[Item Dropped: Alcina's Crystal]

[Skill Cooldown: Wind Walk (100s), Eagle Eyes (110s)]

The tower began to collapse. Theodore grabbed the largest crystal fragment and jumped, using his momentum to launch himself toward the main castle gate.

He landed near Ethan, who was scrambling away with the three shaken but safe sisters.

"Did you see that? That was pure item micro-management!" Theodore exclaimed, breathless.

He had Alchina's crystal to rebirth her later.

Ethan stared at the smoking wreckage. "You used a soup flask to kill a dragon. I can't even describe what I'm seeing."

Theodore pocketed the fragment.

"I don't want to hear from you who use soup to heal amputated parts."

He shook his head and continued.

"We still have Heisenberg, Moreau, and Donna. We need to find Duke to sell this whole castle for upgrades. Then we cure your daughter. Onward!"
