The main wolf pack continued to close the distance between them and their front runners, still chasing Kimsung. He had to quickly kill the two with him before the group behind them offered reinforcement. By that time, it would be impossible for him to survive, he thought.
Kimsung stopped and turned, facing the two mutated wolves following him. As wild animals, they were unaware of his plan and pounced on him. He dodged one's leap towards him, aiming for the second to avoid being overwhelmed. As it bit his blade, he used his strength to drag the blade through its teeth, breaking a few of them and cutting its mouth open.
The wolf tumbled to the ground, and during its shock of pain, Kimsung quickly moved, bringing the blade down on the wolf's neck, severing its spine.

The last wolf of the original four quickly acted; despite its little intelligence, it could tell when its own prey was distracted. It attacked him from behind, or it thought it did, as Kimsung jumped over it and landed a shallow cut on its lower back. The wolf let out a pained howl as it fell to the ground, unable to feel its rear legs. Although his strike wasn't deep enough to part the wolf in two, what he had managed was to cut its spine, thus handicapping it.
Kimsung stuck the landing after, and quickly killed it too, not wanting to waste the chance to raise his mana reserves.

'Now that that's done, I should deal with the rest of them. Thankfully, it's only three of them now, including the leader wolf.' With their numbers now down to three, it would naturally be easier for someone like him to handle; however, Kimsung was still at a numerical disadvantage, with there being three of them and only one of him.
Soon after, the wolf leader and its two remaining minions caught up to where he was. The leader looked around, seeing its minions dead, and growled at Kimsung. Perhaps the wolf did have some brains to it, to recognize him as the killer of its subordinates.
It charged forward, joined by its remaining minions, and attacked Kimsung. He dodged its paw swipe, then blocked one of the minions with his sword, using it to throw the wolf off his body. The third wolf took the chance to attack, biting into his side, or it thought it did. All it had attacked, however, was the open air in which he was present before.
Kimsung's first ability was his trump card in almost all of his resets, and even with the limited amount of mana he currently possessed, it gave a great advantage against both wild beasts and those that could think. He could not even name the number of times his ability to see precious seconds into the future had saved his life. If he really did try, it must've at least been in the hundreds of thousands.
He quickly spun on his feet and delivered a downward stab into the wolf's side, killing it instantly.

Kimsung was not allowed a brief moment of rest, being hit in the side by the leader wolf with its head and sent into a tree. He groaned in pain, remembering the last time he'd taken such a hit. It was in the previous reset, and he was still in Korea.
He was attacked, similarly by a wolf, but it wasn't mutated like the ones he was facing now. Perhaps it was just this kind of wolf, but he'd never fought a mutated version of anything before.
Quickly getting up and ignoring the pain in his upper back, he got up to see both the leader and the last minion charged at him. He hastily raised his sword and picked the leader as his next target. The minion could be dealt with after, but the leader was the real issue.
Gathering mana into his fist, he punched the wolf far away and ducked as the leader wolf slammed into the tree. Kimsung took advantage of its slightly disoriented state and cut his blade into its left front leg. The cut was deep enough to hamper its own movement, and Kimsung was satisfied with it for the moment. After doing a dramatic somersault away from the wolf as it cried out in pain, he waited.
He waited for it to come at him in its weakened state, to try and attack him now that it only had three legs left to use for movement. Any animal with multiple limbs would naturally be extremely disadvantaged in a hunt if their limbs were very damaged in the process. Few animals in the world could disregard their bodies to survive or hunt, and a wolf, no matter what the disasters did to it, was not one of such creatures.
The last remaining minion of its pack was still out of commission, having hit its head on a tree as it flew, and was promptly knocked out from the impact. The leader was all alone as it faced Kimsung. He did not need to use his skill, but he constantly paid attention to the wolf as it charged forward, desperate to kill him.
'A desperate animal is a dangerous animal.' He thought, remembering someone telling him that, but he could not remember who they were. It did not matter at the moment, but he should probably think about it later. As the wolf made wild attacks, biting and trying to pounce on him, he expended its energy and strength continuously, letting it tire itself out. However, he could not underestimate it either, since it was a ranked monster and he wasn't even an F-rank, so he was naturally disadvantaged against it.
As it began to grow tired, he began to attack, landing slashes on its body. Most of them were shallow, but he preferred them to be, so it could bleed out faster and weaken to a point where he could kill it easily. As the one-sided beating continued, it gradually lost strength and collapsed to the ground, its body covered in wounds. On its legs, head, and the rest of its body bled out, its stomach even hanging out slightly.
He let out a tired sigh. It had taken a full three hours to fully deal with the whole pack, and he finally won. A group of ten wolves was now down to their leader and the unconscious survivor. He raised his sword and stabbed the wolf leader's head, killing it in one blow.

It was now the second Mid-Tier monster he killed, after the one that attacked the museum on the first day. But it was a bit disappointing that they were both from the same monster species. He walked to the unconscious wolf and killed it as well, a bit dissatisfied that it was an easy kill, but EXP is EXP, regardless of how it is gained.
