Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: I’m Sorry…?!

"Senkei: Senbonzakura Kageyoshi!"

From all directions, the cherry blossoms closed in, encircling the Konoha shinobi like a tightening death trap.

Kakashi struggled to lift his head, disbelief filling his voice.

"How… how is this possible? We already… neutralized your technique…"

Kirito gave him a cold glance and replied flatly,

"Neutralized? Don't be naïve. My Senbonzakura Kageyoshi contains more than a billion blades. Blocking a mere few thousand, what difference does that make?"

As the petals swirled inward, growing denser with every second, Yamanaka Inoichi slowly shook his head, despair written plainly across his face.

"It's no use… At that density, there's no way to break out, not with the little strength we have left."

"Damn it! If the sides are sealed, then we dig underground!" Inuzuka Tsume growled, preparing to activate a Doton technique.

A hand stopped her.

"Not just the surroundings," Hiashi Hyuga said calmly as he deactivated his Byakugan. "Even the ground beneath us is completely sealed."

A chill swept through the group.

"…"

Aburame Shibi said nothing. He simply found a clean patch of earth, sat down, folded his legs, and closed his eyes. His silence spoke louder than any words.

He had already given up.

"Damn it! Is this guy planning to kill all of us?!" Asuma shouted angrily.

"It's not just us," Inoichi said quietly, his eyes dim.

"If we die here, Konoha… will fall with us."

The sea of petals continued to contract, silent and merciless.

Kirito raised his hand.

With a simple wave, the cherry blossoms, each one a blade, spiraled inward.

The Konoha shinobi were already on the brink of collapse. At this density, survival was impossible.

Beside him, Shirayuki stood motionless. Her expression never changed. Her loyalty was absolute. No matter what Kirito chose to do, she would never object. She would follow him to the very end.

And yet, there was no hatred in Kirito's eyes.

No madness.

No bloodlust.

Only an overwhelming, numbing calm.

He was not acting out of vengeance, nor out of malice.

He simply did not care.

To him, these people were nothing more than obstacles.

They stood in his way, so he would erase them.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Deep beneath that cold indifference, buried under a torrent of uncontrollable power, a faint question surfaced.

If I were truly conscious… would I regret this?

No answer came.

Because this Kirito was no longer fully Kirito.

His rationality was clouded, his thoughts blurred into chaos. Unlike a Jinchuriki consumed by rage, he felt no fury at all, only indifference. His power had grown too vast, and his sense of self had nearly vanished.

No one could stop him.

No one even try.

Not the elite jōnin nor the clan heads.

Not even Shirayuki, who would follow him to the end of the world.

But in the shadows, hidden and trembling, someone was watching.

Hinata.

Her pale eyes stared at the battlefield, a scene straight out of hell.

She trembled, cried and then she stood up.

Her legs shaking, her heart pounding, she ran toward him,

Like a moth flying into flame.

Kirito slowly raised his hand toward the spiraling dome of petals, countless lives trapped within.

And he muttered coldly,

"Disappear. All of it."

"Kirito!"

A cry tore through the battlefield.

Hinata's voice rang out, clear, desperate, and filled with pain.

In that instant,

The world fell silent.

The screech of blades.

The grinding petals.

The roaring wind.

All sound ceased.

Hinata stopped in her tracks, gasping for breath, her wide eyes locking onto the figure that had suddenly appeared before her.

Kirito.

She looked up through her tears, her voice trembling.

"Kirito… please, wake up…"

"Thud."

She collapsed into his arms.

Warmth surrounded her, familiar, gentle and real.

"Hinata."

She blinked and slowly looked up.

The cold emptiness in his eyes was gone.

In its place was a warm, familiar smile.

"Thank you," he said softly. "You brought me back."

That strange blue‑white light still lingered in his eyes, but now there was clarity within it. His pupils were focused. His gaze was unmistakably his own.

Crack!

A sound echoed deep within his soul.

Something shattered.

And Kirito felt his true self return.

"You saved me from that chaos, Hinata."

Hinata could only stare at him, stunned. Moments ago, he had been terrifying, godlike, utterly alien.

And now,

With a single cry, he was himself again.

The change was too sudden and too fast.

Before she could fully process it,

"Kirito! My father and the others, !"

Snap.

Kirito snapped his fingers.

In an instant, the terrifying sea of cherry blossoms vanished, as if it had never existed.

He turned toward the stunned Konoha shinobi, who were still frozen in disbelief.

He smiled.

Clap. Clap.

Then he brought his hands together and bowed deeply.

"Well… I'm terribly sorry, everyone."

"…What?!"

"I mean," he added awkwardly, "I just wanted to say… sorry about all that."
