[ Location: Hogsmeade Village ][ Date: October 31st, 1993 - Halloween ]
Hogsmeade was packed with students wearing thick winter cloaks, fighting against the freezing wind.
Harry couldn't come because he didn't have a signed permission slip , So he was stuck at the castle, probably moping around.
Ron immediately ran off to Honey dukes to stuff his face with as much free candy as possible. Shikamaru took one look at the crowded street, found a warm bench inside the post office, and instantly went to sleep.
Which left just me and Hermione.
"Well," I smiled, looking down at her. "Looks like we ditched the dead weight. Where to?"
Hermione blushed slightly, tucking a stray curl behind her ear. "We could go to the Three Broomsticks? It's freezing out here."
"Lead the way," I said.
We grabbed a small, quiet table in the corner of the warm, crowded pub and I bought us two massive mugs of hot Butterbeer and for the next hour, it wasn't about dark wizards, giant spiders, or saving the world. It was just nice.
We talked about magic, the books we were reading, and how ridiculous Ron was being about his rat.
Hermione looked really pretty in the warm firelight. It was nice to just hang out with someone smart who didn't annoy me.
When we finally got back to the castle that evening, Harry was waiting for us in the common room.
"How was it?" Harry asked, looking jealous.
"Awesome," I smirked, tossing him a bag of chocolate frogs I bought for him. "What did you do all day? Sulk?"
"No," Harry said, catching the candy. "I actually had tea with Professor Lupin and we talked about the Dementor Boggart but he looked really sick. He was drinking this weird, smoking potion."
I hid a massive grin. 'Wolfsbane potion. The full moon is tonight. Good boy, Lupin.'
Before I could say anything, a loud scream echoed from the corridor outside.
We rushed out of the portrait hole.
The entire Gryffindor house was crowded in the hallway.
Percy Weasley was yelling at everyone to step back.
I pushed my way to the front and looked up.
The Fat Lady portrait was completely destroyed.
The canvas was slashed to ribbons by giant, violent knife marks and the Fat Lady was gone, hiding in a painting of some cows down the hall, crying her eyes out.
"It was him!" she wailed, pointing a painted finger at the empty frame. "Sirius Black!"
The students erupted into pure panic.
'The dog finally broke into the castle,' I thought, my eyes flicking over to Ron's pocket where his fat rat was hiding. 'He's hunting him.'
Within ten minutes, Professor Dumbledore locked down the entire school and he sent all the students to the Great Hall.
Hundreds of purple sleeping bags were scattered across the floor.
Everyone was whispering in terror about how a mass murderer got past the Dementors.
I tapped my temple and opened the Dimensional Chat Group while lying in my sleeping bag.
I walked right into a massive argument between the villains.
Esdeath: I hope you guys have something interesting to say as I am very bored.
Ryomen Sukuna: I am trapped inside a teenager's body, Release me first and I will definitely say something.
Lloyd Frontera (Admin): Stop fighting! I have a real crisis! My workers are on strike! They are demanding "weekends" and "paid time off"! It is a tragedy! A crime against my wallet!
Makima: You lack discipline, Mr. Lloyd. If a dog disobeys, you don't negotiate with it. You tighten the leash.
Esdeath: @Ryomen Sukuna You talk big for a spirit stuck in a cage. If you had a body, I would freeze you solid.
Ryomen Sukuna: Try it, woman. I would slice you into a thousand pieces before you even blinked.
Suddenly, a massive gold notification window popped up in the chat.

The search for Sirius Black continued for days, but the teachers found absolutely nothing.
I ignored the drama completely.
I let the school panic while I went to work and I locked myself in the Room of Requirement, grinding my magic.

Outside, the weather turned into an absolute nightmare.
Freezing rain and hurricane-level winds battered the castle.
Because of the storm, the Slytherin Quidditch team totally chickened out of their upcoming match, using Draco Malfoy's "injured" arm as a fake excuse.
That meant Gryffindor had to play Hufflepuff instead.
[ Location: Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom ][ Date: November 6th, 1993 - Friday ]
The storm outside was raging.
Rain hammered against the windows.
Harry rushed into the classroom ten minutes late but Professor Lupin wasn't at the desk.
Professor Snape was standing there, looking like an angry, overgrown bat.
"You are late, Potter," Snape sneered. "Ten points from Gryffindor. Sit down."
"Professor Lupin is too ill to teach today," Snape announced, walking to the front of the room. He sounded like he was enjoying it. "I am taking over. Turn to page 394."
We opened our textbooks.
"Werewolves?" Ron whispered. "But we aren't supposed to do werewolves until next month."
"Quiet, Weasley," Snape snapped. "Which of you can tell me how to distinguish between a true werewolf and a regular wolf?"
Hermione's hand shot straight into the air.
Snape completely ignored her. "Anyone? Are you all really this far behind?"
Hermione couldn't hold it in. "Please, sir, the snout of a werewolf—"
"That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger," Snape interrupted coldly. "Are you incapable of restraining yourself, or do you simply take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all? Five more points from Gryffindor."
Hermione's face turned bright red.
She lowered her hand, fighting back tears.
I slammed my textbook shut.
The sound echoed like a gunshot in the quiet room.
Snape stopped and slowly turned his dark eyes to me. "Do you have a problem, Mr. Frostwell?"
I leaned back in my chair, staring right back at him.
"Just trying to figure out your teaching style, Professor," I said loudly, my voice dripping with pure arrogance. "You ask a question and the smartest girl in the school answers it perfectly and you punish her for it, are we supposed to sit here and act stupid, or is that just a Slytherin rule?"
The entire class gasped.
Ron looked at me like I was insane.
Snape's face twisted in pure rage.
He walked right up to my desk, leaning over to intimidate me.
"You think you are clever, Frostwell?" Snape whispered dangerously. "Fifty points from Gryffindor and detention."
"Take a hundred," I smirked right back at him.
I let my Violet Aura flare up just enough to make the air around us drop ten degrees.
(AN: His aura is invisible)
I stood up, easily matching his stare.
"But since you want to talk about werewolves so badly today, let's talk about them," I said, my voice cutting through the room. "A werewolf only transforms under a full moon and unless, of course, they take a very specific, smoking potion. A potion that a Potions Master might brew for a sick coworker."
Snape froze.
His black eyes widened.
He knew exactly what I was doing.
I was telling him, right to his face, that I knew Lupin's secret and that I knew Snape was the one making his medicine.
"So," I smiled coldly, sitting back down. "I think we understand werewolves perfectly, Professor. Anything else you want to teach us today?"
Snape stared at me for a long, tense moment.
"Two rolls of parchment on the werewolf by Monday," Snape snapped, spinning around and walking fast back to his desk.
Hermione looked at me from the corner of her eye and mouthed the words:
Thank you.
I just winked at her.
Snape was a bully, but he picked the wrong desk to mess with today.
