"That's wonderful!"
Hearing Felix's confirmation, Xingqiu grabbed Chongyun's shoulders, trembling with excitement. "This means you can finally eat hot food and touch warm things!"
As Chongyun's best friend, Xingqiu knew better than anyone the struggles of the Pure Yang Spirit.
Chongyun couldn't touch anything hot.
If he did, his blood would boil, and he would lose control, doing things he would later regret deeply.
Even fleeing to the freezing Dragonspine mountains couldn't suppress his constitution; it only made him feel slightly cooler.
But now, with this Ice Heart Art, everything changed.
It was a massive relief for Chongyun.
"Mhm."
Chongyun was equally emotional.
He desperately wanted to eat hot food. But every attempt ended in disaster.
One time, the heat rushed to his head, and he chased Xiangling around Wanmin Restaurant with a sword, destroying half the kitchen.
He had to scrimp and save for a month to pay off the damages.
And he gave Xiangling a hand-carved exorcism talisman as an apology.
Since then, he swore off hot food entirely.
"Shopkeeper, can it weaken the other effects of my Pure Yang Spirit?"
Suddenly, Chongyun thought of something crucial. He asked hesitantly, "My constitution scares away ghosts before I can even see them. It's very frustrating. I've trained all my life, but I can never use my skills. If I maintain the state of the Ice Heart Art, will it mask the aura of my Pure Yang Spirit so ghosts won't sense it?"
As the heir to a clan of exorcists, he had trained diligently since childhood. But his natural aura was so potent that evil spirits fled miles away before he arrived.
He had never exorcised a spirit properly. They just... left.
It was depressing. Though his body protected him, he wanted to prove his skills as an exorcist, not a walking repellent.
"Probably not," Felix shook his head.
"The Ice Heart Art only suppresses the boiling blood in your mind, allowing you to stay calm. It doesn't change your constitution. You were born with the Pure Yang Spirit. This art is a support tool, not a cure."
"Your aura is easily triggered and constantly radiates a faint presence that evil spirits avoid like the plague. They won't linger."
"To solve your constitution problem, you'd need to pull something that suppresses bloodline power, or perhaps a new constitution entirely."
"The jars contain more than just items. They hold food, drink, and things you can't imagine—like special physiques."
"Physiques like the 'Flying Immortal Body,' 'Frost Body,' and so on. If you pull one and merge with it, it could override or neutralize your Pure Yang Spirit."
Normally, Felix wouldn't mention physiques this early.
But since Chongyun pulled martial arts manuals, pulling a mythical constitution wasn't impossible—though it would likely require higher-tier jars.
"I see."
Chongyun understood.
Still, his eyes shone with excitement.
Even if he couldn't solve the ghost problem yet, being able to control his "hot-blooded" episodes was already a miracle.
And it only cost a few hundred thousand Mora.
He looked at Felix with deep gratitude.
The Shopkeeper was his benefactor.
Without this shop, he would have suffered forever.
Felix: "....."
Seeing Chongyun's intense, grateful gaze, Felix twitched.
He wasn't used to being stared at so passionately by a handsome young man.
"Phew."
Chongyun looked away and carefully tucked the Ice Heart Art manual into his inner pocket.
He had one jar left.
Today's harvest was already worth every Mora.
Beside him, Xingqiu looked at Felix with awe.
This shopkeeper sold jars that effortlessly solved problems the entire Feiyun Commerce Guild couldn't fix.
Though not a permanent cure, a controllable suppression was groundbreaking.
Xingqiu had spent a fortune searching for remedies with no luck. Here, it was just... in a jar.
"Um, Shopkeeper, are you open to collaboration?"
Xingqiu looked at Felix expectantly. "Would you sell jars to the Feiyun Commerce Guild in bulk?"
"No collaboration," Felix shrugged. "If you want to open jars, come to the shop."
The system didn't allow franchising.
"Alright then."
Xingqiu sighed. Worth a shot.
Crash!
Chongyun smashed his final jar.
A compass fell out.
"Uh."
Chongyun blinked.
A compass?
[Liyue Monster-Seeking Compass] — When used in the Liyue region, it can locate nearby evil spirits/monsters. If none are nearby, you must move to a new location.
"Oho?"
Felix raised an eyebrow.
He knew about Treasure Compasses.
But a Monster-Seeking Compass? In Chongyun's hands, this was ironic and perfect.
"Shopkeeper, what is this?"
Chongyun examined the black compass. It looked like a standard geomancy compass, but with two black needles and a button in the center.
He wanted to press it but decided to ask first.
"This is a compass that finds evil spirits," Felix chuckled. "I have to say, your luck is incredible. Use this, and it will point you toward the nearest monster or spirit. If nothing happens, it means the area is clear."
This was actually useful for Chongyun.
In ancient times, Rex Lapis defeated many gods during the Archon War, sealing them beneath Liyue's rocks. Their lingering hatred and power still manifested as demons and evil spirits, plaguing the land. Chongyun's clan existed to quell them.
But Chongyun, poor guy, spent his life wandering like a headless fly, never finding anything because they ran away from him.
"This allows you to locate them efficiently."
"Of course, your aura will still scare them off when you get close," Felix added. "But at least you won't be wandering aimlessly."
"This is amazing!"
Chongyun was overjoyed again.
Direction was everything. Even if they ran, at least he'd know where they were.
Previously, he relied on rumors and hearsay (often unreliable) to find ghosts.
"I don't think you should be too happy," Xingqiu interjected, looking at his friend with a teasing glint in his eye. "Your Pure Yang Spirit will still scare them away before you see them. You'll just be running with purpose now."
"It doesn't matter. It's better than aimless wandering," Chongyun countered. "Before, we just chased rumors. This gives me a direction."
He looked at Xingqiu with a mild glare.
Many of those "rumors" came from Xingqiu, and quite a few were pranks that led to wild goose chases.
"Haha, true enough," Xingqiu scratched his head, smiling awkwardly.
With the compass, Chongyun wouldn't be so easily tricked by fake ghost stories anymore. There goes my entertainment.
"Felix! Felix!"
Suddenly, a shout rang out.
A fiery red figure rushed into the shop like a whirlwind.
"Director Hu Tao."
Seeing Hu Tao burst in, Felix's eyelid twitched. "Did something happen again?"
Hu Tao had just left at noon. She rarely came back in the evening.
And she looked anxious. Clearly, something was wrong.
