Far away Dexter could distinctively hear the sound of a machine, due to Dexter's advanced hearing he could distinguish sounds and he knew that, that machine did not sound like anything we had here on Earth so he knew it was alien tech.
"What had happened while I was in seclusion?" Dexter mumbled to himself.
He left his badly damaged house and went unto the streets, there was utter panic.
People were packing their bags and fleeing to only god knows where.
Dexter looked up into the sky and to a normal human being it would have looked like a shadow was covering the sky, but Dexter with his advanced eyesight could see that it was not just a shadow at all, it was a futuristic space ship, that had a black metallic sheen.
Dexter at the moment was admiring the craftsmanship of the ship when someone shouted at him.
"Kid you better run, those aliens are going to kill us all!"
