Chapter 83 - Chapter 83: Sunagakure’s Pakura vs. Tsunade

According to Magnet Kiyohara, if one could precisely manipulate the interaction between their own magnetic field and that of the Earth, it was possible to counteract gravity.

Similar to Onoki's Earth Release: Lightened Boulder Technique, which reduced the density of matter to make it lighter, granting speed and even flight.

But mastering that kind of control would be no easy feat. Kiyohara estimated that, at his current level, it would take an enormous amount of training—

unless he completed his second will, gaining further inherited talent.

That shortcut would drastically reduce the time required.

If he could gain the ability to fly, it would be a game-changer—dramatically increasing his mobility and evasion in future battles.

In the days that followed, the front lines remained tense. While large-scale conflict temporarily paused, both sides were probing for weaknesses with smaller skirmishes and infiltration missions.

Kiyohara seized the lull, greedily devouring knowledge and improving step by step.

He was in his tent, immersed in the Genjutsu notebook Kurenai had given him, when a series of thunderous explosions rocked the air.

He shot to his feet.

The sounds came from behind the camp—from the prisoner holding area!

"Enemy attack! Prisoner sector under assault!"

The alarm echoed throughout the encampment.

A commanding voice rang out through amplified ninjutsu:

"Third and Fourth squads, move to reinforce immediately! Stop the enemy at all costs!"

Kiyohara's expression sharpened. He closed the notebook and dashed out of the tent, meeting up with Kurenai, Genma, and the others, racing toward the explosions.

They weren't even halfway there before the battlefield came into view—chaotic flames rising from destroyed tents, Konoha ninja clashing with Sunagakure attackers.

At the center of it all stood a familiar figure—graceful, deadly, and surrounded by terrifying orange orbs radiating unbearable heat.

It was Pakura.

Every time she moved her hand, another Konoha shinobi fell screaming, their bodies withering in an instant—dried husks drained of moisture by her Scorch Release.

Behind her, protected like treasure, was her disciple—Maki.

His face was alight with panic and joy.

'So that's why she's here,' Kiyohara realized.

In the original timeline, even after Pakura had fallen into darkness and sought revenge against the shinobi world, she had still been persuaded to lay down her blade—because of Maki.

Their bond was that powerful.

"It's Sunagakure's Scorch Release user—Pakura! Stay clear of her orbs!"

A Konoha jōnin shouted, warning others.

But against her deadly attacks, the shinobi faltered. Even knowing the danger, they couldn't get close.

At that moment, a golden figure arrived—Tsunade.

Her gaze swept the battlefield. Upon seeing the dried corpses littering the ground, her face went pale.

She instinctively stepped back, brows furrowing deeply.

"Damn it…"

Her low curse was tinged with frustration and nausea.

Her hemophobia gripped her hard.

"I'll go!"

A strong voice cut through the chaos.

It was Jōnin Hayama of the Shirakumo clan. Blade in hand, he charged toward Pakura.

His swordsmanship was sharp—each slash sent slicing wind blades, and he blinked forward like scattered leaves, trying to pierce through Pakura's defenses.

"Scorch Release…"

Yakura didn't even blink. She expanded one of her floating fire orbs—it exploded midair, forcing Hayama to defend.

He stumbled back, his arms singed from the extreme heat.

He wasn't even directly hit.

More Konoha ninja rushed in. But no one could break through—

they only succeeded in gradually draining Pakura's chakra.

Tsunade realized she couldn't hesitate anymore.

She clenched her jaw and forced herself to breathe.

Then—she bit her fingertip and slammed her palm down.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

Boom!

The giant slug Katsuyu appeared on the field.

"Katsuyu—deal with her!"

"Yes, Lady Tsunade."

Acid sprayed from Katsuyu's mouth, clashing against the scorching fireballs.

Steam hissed up violently, filling the battlefield with choking white mist.

Pakura had to defend Maki and dodge Katsuyu's attacks while enduring harassment from the surrounding Konoha shinobi.

She was visibly straining.

"Master!"

Maki cried, voice trembling.

"It's alright, Maki—we'll break out!"

Pakura gritted her teeth. Her eyes scanned the battlefield, calculating her next move.

One more round.

If she could create enough confusion, they could escape.

'So Tsunade really did show up… and ran straight into Pakura,'

Kiyohara thought grimly as he rushed with the reinforcements.

But this Tsunade… she wasn't fighting at full strength.

He knew well—Tsunade with hemophobia couldn't handle too much blood.

Her mind would lock up.

"She's here,"

Magnet Kiyohara's spirit murmured, flickering faintly in the night.

Kiyohara wasn't in a rush.

The "Will" he received was only to defeat Pakura.

There was no specification on how.

Defeating her at full health… or last-hitting her at 1%?

Either one completed the requirement.

"Do you have any long-range techniques?"

he asked his counterpart.

The Magnet Release jutsu he inherited, or copied from scrolls these past few days, all had limited range.

This battlefield was easily 500 meters wide. Most jutsu wouldn't reach that far.

"There are a few,"

Magnet Kiyohara replied,

"Though not fully developed."

He began partial possession again.

Kiyohara felt his chakra begin converting into magnetic force.

From afar, Kurenai and Genma watched curiously as he extended his hand toward the dirt.

Magnetic energy pulsed through the soil—iron sand erupted from the earth, swirling into his palm.

In seconds, it compressed into a perfectly round black pellet, about the size of a fingernail.

Tiny arcs of blue electricity crackled across its surface—a reaction from the intense magnetic compression.

Kiyohara recognized the principle.

Shinki, Gaara's adopted son, had a Magnet Release move that did something similar—generating electricity through compressed iron sand.

"If we place a conductive iron sand coin in a magnetic acceleration rail, then inject a massive burst of current, the resulting Lorentz force will launch the coin at 600 meters per second,"

Magnet Kiyohara explained.

Kiyohara blinked.

Wasn't this… just a chakra-powered railgun?

Definitely gave off that certain scientific vibe.

The only difference was that their version maxed out around Mach 2, while the anime-style version hit Mach 3.

Maybe he should call it… A Certain Ninja's Electromagnetic Coin?

"Why not make it spindle-shaped?"

Kiyohara asked.

"Too complex. Higher chakra cost, precision required. This shape is simpler."

His counterpart shrugged.

"Fair enough."

"Aren't we too far for that?"

Kurenai finally interjected.

In the darkness, she could only make out the glow of Pakura's orbiting fireballs.

And here Kiyohara was, molding a coin of iron sand—

was he going to… throw it?

Like a shuriken?

Kurenai's brows twitched.

Even for a prodigy, this was ridiculous.
