Location: The Crucible Grounds - Arena Floor
Time: Present Day - Tournament Finals
The arena hummed with electric anticipation as the final match was announced. The holographic banners flickered, displaying the names of the two remaining competitors in bold, shimmering script. The crowd's energy was palpable—a living thing that seemed to pulse through the stands.
A thunderous melody erupted from the speakers, its rhythm driving and relentless.
"In the shadows, in the light,
The monster stirs, it's time to fight,
You can run, you can hide,
But the beast is deep inside..."
Kazimir Zelenko materialized on the massive screen, his digital form moving with exaggerated, almost theatrical energy. His body twisted and swayed, each gesture synchronized with the pounding beat. His arms swept through the air like blades, his hips swaying with a rhythm that seemed to mock the very concept of gravity.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" Kazimir shouted, his voice layered with electronic distortion. "The moment we have all been patiently waiting for! The Crucible Grounds tournament final!"
The screen displayed the faces of the two finalists in shimmering script. Cassia Ulfric's image appeared, her expression one of cold indifference. Beside her, Grace Barlow's face was etched with quiet determination.
Kazimir continued, his voice carrying a note of theatrical excitement. "Let's take a look at the odds, folks! Cassia Ulfric stands at 3.90—a solid favorite, but not unbeatable! And Grace Barlow, our dark horse, our unexpected champion, sits at 5.00!"
The crowd murmured, their voices rising in heated debate.
"Look at those odds! They're practically daring us to bet against her!"
"Cassia Ulfric is a monster. She's been dominating the entire tournament. Grace doesn't stand a chance."
"After what Grace did to Michael and Evan? I wouldn't count her out so quickly."
Kazimir's voice carried a note of mocking amusement. "We've had so many highs and lows! From the moment Evan Torrent held himself in that very gentlemanly way—"
He mimicked Evan's pose, his body stiff and theatrical. His hand clutched his midsection, his expression one of exaggerated discomfort. His voice dropped to a mock whisper.
"And then, well... not feeling so well. And then, BOOM!"
His hands flew outward in a dramatic gesture, mimicking an explosion.
"Probrooming! Right? Get it? Probrooming? Because he went boom!"
The crowd's reaction was muted. They were still recovering from the overwhelming intensity of the previous events, their faces etched with a mixture of exhaustion and unease.
One spectator shook his head slowly. "I'm just not in the mood for jokes right now."
Another nodded in agreement. "After everything we just witnessed, it's hard to laugh."

The crowd's attention shifted to the odds displayed on the screen, their voices rising in heated debate.
"Wait a minute," one spectator said, his brow furrowed. "What about Leo Jerkins? He made it all the way to the semifinals!"
"Yeah! Shouldn't he be in the finals?" another added. "It should be a triple threat match!"
Kazimir's voice cut through the noise, carrying a note of dramatic explanation. "Oh, that's right, folks! Forgot to mention—Leo Jerkins has requested to withdraw from the tournament due to an internal injury. And Brenna's sister has also requested the same!"
The crowd's reaction was immediate—a mixture of disbelief and suspicion.
"Are you kidding me? Two participants just randomly forfeit? That doesn't make any sense!"
"Smells like power play at play. And we all know who could do that."
A series of split peeping glances shifted toward Brenda, who sat in the VIP section, her posture relaxed, her hands wrapped around a cup of steaming tea. She took a slow, deliberate sip, her expression one of quiet amusement.
One spectator leaned forward, his voice carrying a note of dark suspicion. "Probably threatened by that freaky Grace Barlow girl."
"Who wouldn't be?" another added. "After what she did to Evan? I wouldn't want to face her either."
A third spectator nodded slowly. "But honestly, Leo Jerkins already made it further than anyone expected. He reached the semifinals. The Jerkin base will be giving him lots of praise for that."
"And if Grace can pull an upset and defeat Cassia Ulfric?" the first spectator said, his voice carrying a note of excitement. "Then this will be the most unpredictable Crucible Grounds trainees tournament in the history of Crestwood."
He shook his head slowly.
"No one could have predicted how far Leo, Caspian, and Grace would have reached. Meanwhile, favorites like Evan Torrent, Michael Snovidenie, and Brenna's sister ended up not making it."

VIP Section
Valerik leaned toward Brenna, his voice carrying a note of respectful curiosity. "Can I ask why your sister didn't want to carry on?"
Brenna's hands moved in a gesture of vague uncertainty. "I don't know. Perhaps it was my elder sister's instruction. Perhaps it wasn't. But that Leo kid—whatever he did, it made my sister you know."
Valerik's brow furrowed. "Why do you say it like that?"
Brenna's voice dropped to a thoughtful murmur. "Well, my elder sister, before the tournament started, always kept mentioning him. And based on how he made it this far... someone within the eyes of my elder sister can't be called ordinary."
Jericho's expression shifted to one of puzzled confusion. "But he's just my younger brother. Normal. How could he be within your elder sister's attention?"
Brenna's expression shifted to one of mild confusion, her hands moving in a series of uncertain gestures. "I don't know. I really don't know."
Eugene Torrent's eyes narrowed, his voice carrying a note of dawning realization. "Can it be?"
Nikolai Morozov noticed his expression, his voice carrying a note of curiosity. "Hey, fellow. Still luggy?"
Eugene's voice was flat, dismissive. "It's nothing."
Valerik's voice carried a note of thoughtful reflection. "Who knew this casual Crucible Grounds tournament would end up being such a fest? I know I enjoyed most of it. Though I'm still not sure why your elder sister suggested it in the first place."
He paused, his voice dropping to a note of realization.
"But it's created a ripple effect. Showing that there are indeed prospects to recruit and value that we would have never known. And if Leo Jerkins was the one that caused your sister to even start this tournament in the first place..."
He glanced at Jericho, his voice carrying a note of grudging respect.
"Then that lad did your Jerkin base a favor."
Jericho's expression shifted to one of conflicting emotions. His internal voice carried a note of bitter realization.
The brother I always thought was nothing, he thought. The brother I always looked down on. He's the one who made this all possible.
Eugene Torrent's expression shifted to one of cold fury, his hands clenched at his sides.
This isn't over, he thought. Not by a long shot.

The arena hummed with a quiet, uneasy energy. The crowd's murmurs faded, replaced by a tense, expectant silence.
Grace and Cassia stood at opposite ends of the arena, their gazes locked. The holographic banners flickered above them, displaying their names in bold, shimmering script.
The music faded, replaced by a heavy, oppressive silence.
Kazimir's voice cut through the tension, sharp and triumphant.
"LET THE FINALS BEGIN!"
The crowd erupted in cheers.
And the final battle began.
