More than an hour later, Qi Ling and Ahri Wulei returned.
Ahri Wulei was carrying various shopping bags in his hands, multiple women's purses hung around his neck, a big bag of unfinished snacks tucked under his arm, and a gigantic teddy bear prize from the mall slung on his back.
He dumped the items onto the table, sprawled out on the couch, loosened his tie and fanned himself, saying with an empty expression, "Boss, please, don't make me do this next time. Going shopping with women is more exhausting than internal training."
Qi Ling stuck out her tongue, smiling like a mischievous cat.
Su Mo and Zhao Yiming were sitting on the couch drinking tea, their relationship seemingly more familiar than before. They were chatting and laughing about recent amusing stories, and seeing Ahri Wulei worn out like that, they burst into laughter.
Qi Ling sat down on Su Mo's couch, lying against his legs, and lazily asked, "All done talking? How did it go?"
