The new recruit looked towards the Border District on the other side of the rust wall, where there were no high-rises, yet it was filled with neon lights, the blue-purple glow flowing through the large streets, all emanating from bar and club signs.
He sighed, "Even rats in the Border District have nightlife, we might be the most miserable people in New Moon City. Once these rats are all dead, we'll no longer have to be on duty."
The veteran soldier showed a mysterious smile, "Rats have their advantage, you have no idea how cheap they can be. I once dated a single mom from the Border District; she came out to sell herself to gather money for her child's milk powder. Her figure..."
