Returning to the villa, Caden Lockwood headed straight to the bedroom. As soon as he placed Evelyn Morgan on the bed, she opened her eyes.
She looked around, feeling a bit disappointed not to see the beautiful scenery she had dreamt of.
"It feels like being relegated from paradise to the human world," she mumbled with a smile, "Ah...I'm hungry."
Seeing Evelyn so dazed, Caden couldn't help but laugh.
He reached out to tidy her tousled hair, his palm resting on her cheek as his fingers brushed her forehead. His lips parted slightly, and his voice overflowed with tenderness and affection: "I've prepared the meal for you. Shall we eat now?"
Evelyn nodded, sitting up, naturally leaning into Caden's embrace again.
"Can we eat in the bedroom?" Evelyn lazily asked, "I don't want to go downstairs. I'm so tired."
The smile on Caden's lips deepened, and the tenderness between his brows spread around, infecting the air with sweetness.
