Thinking of this, Evelyn's gaze grew even dimmer.
"Let's go home." Caden continued, "I can explain many things."
A few short words, yet Evelyn heard the weariness in Caden's voice.
"No need." Evelyn shook her head gently, "You go back! I will naturally return when school is about to start. I hope by then, you will have thought it through... and be willing to divorce me."
Listening to Evelyn's words, the veins on Caden's forehead twitched, and his hands unconsciously clenched into fists, tightening with a "grrr" sound.
"Evelyn." Caden's voice squeezed out through clenched teeth, "Am I so insignificant in your heart?"
Evelyn lowered her gaze, unsure how to refute Caden's words.
"You think I really know nothing?" Caden's tone carried a hint of sadness.
