Evelyn's heart was in her throat, she clenched her teeth tightly, even her breathing slowed to a gentle pace, and she dared not move an inch, as if she were frozen in place.
She knew all too well that if Caden Lockwood found her, the consequences would be utterly disastrous!
In her heart, she prayed to find her ID card so she could leave smoothly!
At that moment, Evelyn heard Eleanor Keaton's voice.
"Brother Caden, I made you some coffee. Try it! I'm sure you'll love it!" Eleanor said as she presented the coffee she had brewed herself, her face beaming with a bright smile.
Caden Lockwood glanced briefly at Eleanor, the disdain between his brows was evident and unhidden.
He recalled a visit to The Keaton Family, where out of politeness he commented that the coffee was good, only to later find out that Eleanor had made it. She clung to this as evidence of his supposed affection for her.
She was Julian Keaton's sister, after all, and out of courtesy, he had to show some respect.
