"Really?" Cecilia Lynch exclaimed, "Evelyn, your big brother agreed to see you? When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me right away!"
"It's not that he agreed to see me; I just secretly saw him talking to Aunt May, and then, amazingly, we bumped into each other at school!" Evelyn Morgan's tone was full of longing, "Even though I haven't completely confirmed his identity yet, it's almost certain!"
"Quite the coincidence?" Cecilia said in surprise, "What's he like? With that dreamy look in your eyes, could it be... have things already progressed between you two?"
"The only progress is that we're friends now!" Evelyn responded wholeheartedly, "It's just a small step forward, but I've been waiting fourteen years for this!"
Seeing Evelyn in this lovestruck state, Cecilia felt a sense of relief.
Her biggest worry was that Evelyn would fall in love with Caden Lockwood.
