Chapter 9 - Chapter 8: Heading to the Audition

Bella Acker, work hard, cheer up, don't be nervous.

Whoosh!

After taking two deep breaths and mentally preparing herself, Bella Acker finally stepped into the hall.

The few women near the entrance heard the noise and looked over.

Seeing Bella Acker, carrying a backpack and dressed in a white sweater, jeans, with a cotton jacket, scarf, and hat, their eyes flashed a hint of surprise.

With almond eyes and willow brows, her small palm-sized face was delicate and exquisite, paired with a nose shaped like a dignified peak and a cherry-colored little mouth, indeed very beautiful.

But her figure and apparent age... could she be too young? Has she graduated from middle school?

Bella Acker's small frame and youthful face often made her, though twenty years old, mistaken for a middle schooler when standing in a crowd.

Noticing the many glances around her, Tilly Acker slightly tightened her grip on the backpack straps and walked inside.

These people were only curious at first glance, but soon turned back to their novels, contemplating their audition roles, with no extra attention to spare for others.

The sofas and benches nearby were all occupied, leaving only two spots open on the round sofa in the center of the hall. Bella joyfully walked over to sit down, taking out her notes on character description and personality from her bag, planning to review them carefully to avoid mistakes at the audition.

"Hey! Hey!"

Hearing someone speaking beside her, Bella Anker looked up in confusion, "Are you calling me?"

"Yes." The woman speaking looked around twenty-two or twenty-three, with waist-length black hair, very pretty, "Don't sit there, come squeeze in with me."

"Why?" Bella Acker didn't understand, "It's empty here, and nobody's claiming it."

The kindly reminding woman got a bit anxious, "That's Molly Morgan's seat."

Bella Acker knew Molly Morgan, a B-list actress who once got popular because of a drama but hasn't produced notable work since, slipping out of the limelight.

The entertainment industry is like that, constantly replacing old faces with new ones. To stay a big star and remain popular is not easy.

Even though Molly Morgan was an off-beat B-list actress, she's stronger than us newcomers who are practically nobody.

No wonder the girl nearby was so urgent to remind her.

Bella Acker flashed a grateful smile at the girl and was about to move over when she heard a cold, somewhat sharp voice say, "Who let you sit in my seat?"

"Sorry, I saw the seat was empty and didn't know someone owned it." Bella Acker stood up and apologized to Molly Morgan.

Even in the dead of winter, Molly Morgan wore a thin long dress, with only a white fur coat draped across her shoulders. It looked good, but isn't she cold?

Bella wondered to herself, thinking of how Molly Morgan kept a composed look in public but secretly shivered from the cold, she couldn't help but let out a low laugh.

Molly Morgan crossed her arms over her chest and upon hearing Bella Acker's laugh, her face instantly turned colder, "What are you laughing at? Are you laughing at me?"

"No, no, Miss Morgan, I'm not laughing at you. I was holding back a sneeze and accidentally choked. Please don't misunderstand." Bella felt that her laughing was indeed impolite, willing to apologize.
