Rhys Blackwood swiftly and steadily pulled out the wet, bloodstained little creature, wiped it clean with warm animal hide, then neatly cut the umbilical cord.
This was clearly Malachi Arcanus's offspring.
He gently wrapped the newborn wolf cub in a clean animal hide and handed it to Malachi Arcanus standing beside him.
"It's my cub."
Malachi Arcanus received his own blood-linked cub with trembling hands. The small black wolf cub, covered in vernix, appeared exceptionally fragile in his rough hands.
His eyes immediately turned red, too moved to speak, awkwardly using his face to nuzzle the tiny body.
But then, remembering how Luna had suffered excruciating pain to give birth to this little cub, anger surged in him once more.
"Alright, I won't beat you just after you're born. I'll teach you a good lesson when you grow up."
