Zeke Veridian was lost in thought.
Suddenly, there was a crisp "crack" from deep within the bamboo grove.
Followed by the sound of something heavy hitting the ground.
"Bang!"
A rustling sound ensued.
Jago emerged from the woods, carrying several thick purple-striped bamboos, with a bamboo leaf stuck to his head: "Master, I've cut the bamboos!"
Luna Sutton heard the noise but didn't look up: "Put them aside and shave twenty more slender bamboo strips, one finger wide."
Jago put down the purple-striped bamboo and scratched his head: "Master, you don't need that many to weave a cradle, do you?"
"Who said I'm only weaving a cradle?"
Her fingers danced as the bamboo strips intertwined nimbly in her palm. She replied lightly, "I'm also making other things: a bamboo wardrobe, bamboo tables and chairs, a rocking chair, vegetable and fruit baskets for draining, bamboo storage shelves, organizing racks... The cave is a mess, after all, things need a place."
