She shifted her gaze to Corbin Crowley, her eyes flickering as she walked over, grinning, "Corbin, can you do me a favor?"
Corbin barely lifted his eyelids, shot her a cold look, and rejected her without a second thought, "Nope."
She wasn't surprised at all by his indifference and refusal, keeping the same smile on her face.
Then she changed tactics, and said softly, "Corbin, these stones are really important to me, I need them to improve my life. If you help me carry them back, I'll agree to one condition of yours."
Corbin raised an eyebrow, the silver in his gaze tinged with surprise, "Any condition?"
His expression was almost smiling, his tone full of playful amusement.
Luna Sutton grew a little nervous, knowing this dog of a man was hard to deal with. She gritted her teeth and nodded, "As long as it's not too much, and I can do it, then yes."
She put extra emphasis on "not too much" and "I can do it."
