"Married, but still sleeping alone." Adrian hugged her tightly in his arms, sounding just a bit aggrieved as he said, "I'm so pitiful, aren't I?"

Serena tossed the tissue in her hand into the trash can, then raised her arms to hug him back, thinking out loud, "How about after New Year's, I move in with you?"
Actually, except for yesterday, when Adrian went back to the Shaw Family and didn't stay over, they'd basically been together this whole time.
Upon hearing this, Adrian's tall, straight back bent down a little more, letting some of his weight rest on her.
He's so tall that, when he relaxed and pressed down like this, Serena was pretty much wrapped up entirely in his embrace, his hot breath drifting past her ear.
"You sound pretty hesitant."
Adrian said lazily, "So, your plan was to make me live like a widower my whole life?"
