The two of them locked eyes, neither speaking a word, as invisible sparks crackled in the air.

Initially, only a restless little fish leaped out of the water, bringing a momentary relief. But soon after, as if in response to some call, more and more fish jumped eagerly, frequently leaping in her heart lake, causing splashes of spirited water.
Some emotions also became difficult to suppress.
Serena Stanton leaned forward, suddenly lunging at Adrian Shaw, her arms wrapping around his neck, her chin resting on his broad shoulder.
Adrian Shaw caught her steadily, his arms naturally encircling her slender waist, returning the embrace.
"You picked today of all days to get into a fight," Serena remarked, seemingly without context.
"Oh." Adrian Shaw suddenly laughed, his tone lazy and careless, "Your birthday has become a worldwide no-fighting day, how come you didn't notify me in advance?"
