Chapter 6 - Lady Fire In Trouble

Royal Sailors, downtown Quezon City. A sweet melodious voice sang as the soft chords of the piano flowed like water downstream.

The club was now fully packed with individuals of all kinds.

Austin Dre stood in the middle of the crowd with his bodyguards beside him. He moved sideways, enjoying the music.

Many people were on the dance floor slowly shaking their stress off with a little body shake.

Lee glanced at his boss nearby and smiled ruefully.

He recalled the pathetic figure they had rescued from the streets that day. Comparing him to that man, they were now like two distant memories.

Austin Dre was in high spirits today. After the show ended, everyone sat down and enjoyed their drinks as Lady Fire passed around to greet the guests.

Many people gathered here were politicians or celebrities, not forgetting the rich kids of the city, so she had to show some courtesy to this group of individuals.

Austin Dre sat there and closely watched this strange woman walked by.

The first time he set his eyes on her, he felt such familiarity that he thought his brain was playing a game on him.

Those eyes he could never forget them.

He continued staring directly. Lee looked at him and at the woman and wondered what was going on.

"Boss, boss," he called out. However, the guy didn't react. It was as if he was in some trance-like state.

Lee nudged him by his shoulder and called again. Austin Dre reacted and looked at Lee.

"What?" He asked.

"Boss, you look so lost, I thought, do you like her?" Lee asked coquettishly.

Austin Dre looked at Lee and turned to the woman. He smirked and then said, "I just think she looks familiar," "What?" Lee's curiosity was peaked.

"Where have you seen her from?" asked a curious Lee.

"Mr Kang, calm down," Austin Dre joked.

Lee chuckled and looked at her.

"I think she is very stunning under that mask," Lee concluded.

"I think so," Austin Dre said.

"Do you think she can hang out with…? Me?" Lee suddenly asked.

Austin Dre looked at Lee and then, with a smirk, said, "I think she would not even look at our table."

"What, you can't be serious men," Lee said and turned to look in her direction. True to Austin's perception, the lady had just skipped their table and was retreating to the last table.

"Oh man, you are such a jinx," Lee shouted, frowning.

"Oh man, she just walked past us like we were invisible," one of Austin's guys said sadly.

"Don't worry brother, maybe she is saving us for the last," Austin Dre encouraged the guy.

"Hope you are right boss," the guy said.

"Trust me" he said, smiling confidently.

Just then a voice like the rippling of water sounded.

"What are you gentlemen talking about,"

The group turned and saw the stunning figure of a woman standing by their table.

The guy who had complained earlier, looked extremely elated and anxious at the same time.

The lady greeted each one by one except for one, Austin Dre.

She then looked at him and asked, "Why are you looking away?"

The others turned and looked at their boss. Truly he was looking at the other side, clearly unbothered.

"Well, I don't think so. I am not such a fan," he said, almost chuckling.

Lee tapped his boss's arm and whispered, "Why are you doing this, weren't you looking..." Before he could finish his sentence, Austin Dre slapped his arm away.

Lee was stunned and at the same time understood his boss's cue.

He smiled and looked away.

"Why are you so stubborn Sir," she shouted, clearly getting anxious.

"What do you think...?" He asked.

"I have got a lot to do later sir, please have a good day." She said and turned to leave, but Austin Dre's voice stopped her.

"What if I want you to sit beside me tonight?" he asked brazenly.

She didn't speak for some time. She then turned around and said, "I can't, sir, I have got other people to catch up with. I am so sorry, maybe next time,"

Austin Dre chuckled for a bit before he said almost angrily, "Do you think I am stupid? I saw you skip our table and greet everyone at the back, so you have got no one to accommodate except my table, so if you don't mind sitting down at my table and explaining why you picked our table from all the others"

Lee and the others were shocked, what had gotten into their calm and humble boss. Why was he speaking so angrily? Was this because of just a small mistake like skipping a table? They all understood that something else was going on. Had their boss taken a fancy to this goddess? Wouldn't that anger the other powers in here? Why is the boss looking for trouble so much? They all mentally prepared themselves for a brawl later.

"What do you mean, Sir?" She asked panic in her voice.

"I just need an explanation?" he said with finality.

The lady felt equally threatened. This was just a small matter. How had it escalated to this? She sounded impatient as she said, "Sir, if you continue harassing me, I will call my security over, please just stop?"

Austin Dre laughed again. This time the laugh attracted some unwanted attention. A guy seated beside him then walked over and asked.

"Miss, is there a problem?" Lady Fire glanced at the back of this stubborn brat and spoke.

"No sir, I was just chatting with mister..." she didn't know his name.

"It's none of your business," a cold voice said.

The man who was about to leave turned and looked at Austin Dre.

He sneered and shouted, "Kid, you have got a nerve,"

Austin Dre's dark laugh sounded again. Every time Lady Fire heard this chilling laugh her heart would beat louder.

"What are you laughing at you brat?" The man so spat.

The commotion attracted everyone's attention in the room.

At a certain corner of the club, a young man with long flowing hair sat by. There were two women on each side.

At the table there were two more men and another woman.

This was, without doubt, the next in line heir of the Brii family, Jayden Brii.
