Apart from the increase in Curse Power, Udi also acquired several Magic abilities after devouring hundreds of Unranked Curse Spirits.
It's unclear whether the Curse Spirits Udi devoured were too weak, or if the 'drop rate' of Magic was just that low, but it took devouring a few hundred Unranked Curse Spirits to obtain a few Unranked Magic abilities.
Or perhaps it's a bit of both.

A few Samurai in silver armor leaped across the rooftops, quickly closing in on Udi.
"You bastard, we finally found you."
The leading Silver Armored Warrior glared at Udi under the black robe, clearly very angry.
