Yamanaka quickly snapped back to his senses, shouting with a hint of panic:
"Quick! Stop them!"
As the shout fell, Yamanaka was the first to try and extricate himself from the fight with Kondo to intercept Aoto and Chokata, who were already closing in on the midfield.
But his intention had already been seen through by Kondo.
Kondo slashed at Yamanaka, forcing him to continue entangling in battle.
"Don't let a single person go!" Kondo shouted at his companions on both flanks, "Keep them here! Don't let anyone interfere with Mr. Tachibana and Toshisuke!"
"Ohhhh—!" The swordsmen from Shiwei Hall on both flanks responded to Kondo with a shout full of fighting spirit.
