'Kael has a brother? A brother that looks exactly like him?' Ren stared blankly at the massive white tiger beastman standing toe-to-toe with her husband. It hit her like a fifty-pound sack of flour that even after all this time, she didn't really know anything about Kael. Or Syris. Or Altair. Why had she never been curious about their family trees until this exact moment?
But then again, between staying alive and desperately keeping Syris and Kael from ripping each other's throats out, sitting down for a casual family history interview hadn't exactly been a top priority.
Kael crossed his thick, scarred arms over his bare chest. A smug, deeply competitive smirk pulled at his lips as he looked down slightly at his younger sibling.
"Train hard, Kaelen," Kael rumbled, his voice vibrating with absolute confidence. "I won't go easy on you like I did when we were cubs."
