Kael stared up at Ren with glowing red eyes. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife.
Then, a low, rumbling growl started deep in his chest.
Ren braced herself for an attack. She squeezed her eyes shut, preparing to be bitten or struck.
"Grrrrr... snrrrk."
But then, the growl turned into a small whine. Kael's eyes rolled back into his head, and his massive frame went limp.
FLUMP.
The Tiger King collapsed forward, landing directly on top of Ren.
"Oof!"
Ren let out a wheeze as all the air left her lungs. She hit the floor hard, pinned beneath two hundred-plus pounds of pure, solid muscle.
