The nobles of the Kingdom of Clark are accustomed to holding a small warm-up dance party the day before the official banquet.
Ellie Miller just returned to the guest room at Swan Castle, and saw Artor Coldcrest standing by the window, his back to her.
"Where did you go?" he asked.
Ellie Miller could see through the reflection on the glass that those deep blue eyes were staring at her reflection on the window.
"I went for a walk around the back," Ellie Miller paused and asked, seemingly unintentionally, "I just saw you by the lake, did you see me?"
Artor turned around, his blue eyes staring directly at her, "No, you didn't see me."
Ellie Miller: "..."
"Then maybe I was mistaken."
"Tonight, there's a small warm-up dance party."
There's still some time before the evening ball, but for the ladies to get ready, they'd have to start now.
"Ah! I need to hurry!"
