Chapter 9 - Chapter 7: Evil Reputation 691

"Your Highness, as per your instructions, we healed Bronze Knight Edson using the 'Miracle Potion'."

"Those filthy missionaries accused us of using witch medicine."

"We executed the six missionaries who defamed the 'Miracle Medicine'."

"Bishop Hillman, Bishop Solomon, and Bishop Lowell are willing to perform the [Light Healing Technique] for the remaining injured knights."

A knight wearing Dark Secret Silver Armor excitedly reported to The Duke of Coldcrest.

After listening, the Duke turned to Ellie Miller, who was listening on the side, "Your method is very effective."

Ellie Miller: "..."

Wait a minute! Was this her idea?! She just suggested demonstrating the effect of [Healing Potion] before those missionaries!

When did she ever say to kill off the disobedient ones??

[Because of your potion, the Coldcrest Knights brutally persecuted six innocent missionaries. You have thus gained 691 points of Evil Reputation.]

Ellie Miller: "..."

She was seeing black, what does it mean to have a black pot fall from the sky?

Artor Coldcrest, however, was very satisfied with this outcome; his blue eyes turned towards Ellie Miller, his low magnetic voice speaking slowly:

"Do you happen to have that kind of potion that can make people forget?"

Ellie Miller: "..."

She took a deep breath, "I don't have..."

The Duke didn't push further, vaguely looking at his knight, "That is truly unfortunate."

Ellie Miller suspected that if she couldn't make [Forgetfulness Potion], the three bishops might end up like mules that get killed after completing the grind, "No, what I mean is, this potion needs to be custom-made."

Artor Coldcrest waited gentlemanly for her to continue.

"... extra costs." Ellie Miller said expressionlessly.

The Duke of Coldcrest: "..."

Knight: "..."

Having finished discussing business, Ellie Miller left the study. Before she closed the door, she vaguely heard the Duke say:

"If supported by alchemy potion, we may launch another war during the autumn harvest this year."

"The Cullen Family will certainly take action soon, so we must act before then..."

Ellie Miller became increasingly certain that Artor Coldcrest was plotting something.

Whatever it was, it would undoubtedly turn Kostanyn into the center of a storm.

The display of alchemy potion's magic undoubtedly saved her precarious Alchemical Space.

But it also increased the difficulty of leaving Artor Coldcrest...

Thinking this, she had already returned to her bedroom in the South Wing of the castle.

After healing Edward Martin with alchemy medicine, the housekeeper asked on behalf of the Duke whether she wanted to move to the northern side of the castle.

Ellie Miller guessed this was probably the Duke's idea; whatever his purpose, she rejected it.

Having dismissed the maid, Ellie Miller locked the door and turned her tail ring to enter the [Alchemy House].

[You currently have 26 points of Kind Reputation]

[You currently have 691 points of Evil Reputation]

[The Rear Garden has grown a few harmless "Magical Plants"]

[The Rear Garden has grown a large amount of troublesome "Magical Plants"]

[Please pick them before sunset to prevent the magical plants from withering.]

Ellie Miller immediately ran to the Rear Garden; the scene before her eyes was truly a "bountiful harvest."

Looking over, there were at least hundreds of magical plants.

But Ellie Miller was both joyful and worried.

Very few of them could be used to make [Healing Potion], while the rest were magical plants that seemed "not quite normal."

Like the fat mushroom that appeared to have a 'screaming face,' and the 'Thunder Thistle' that accidentally created an electric shock effect when added to the Desire Potion last time...

This is why she hated Evil Reputation.

The magical plants it spawned are simply toxic!

Helpless, Ellie Miller could only first pick the "Water Flower" and "Terra Root."

After picking them, she immediately made them into [Healing Potion].

Then she went back to the Rear Garden, intending to collect the remaining "Evil Plants."

She turned the usable ones into potions, and those more precious ones she crammed into the mortar for a 'BUG' trick.

Those truly unusable or unable to be crammed in the mortar would just have to be wasted.

As a result, as soon as she stepped out, she saw the long-missed mysterious little van parked outside the Rear Garden fence.

Ellie Miller almost rushed over in three steps to check the goods on it.

Among the tightly packed goods on the shabby vehicle, Ellie Miller immediately spotted the "Magic Plant Preservation Cabinet."

[Would you like to spend 500 Kindness/Evil reputation points to redeem the "Magic Plant Preservation Cabinet"?]

[Yes]!

In an instant, 500 points were deducted from her Evil reputation, leaving her with 191 points.

Ellie Miller looked at the other goods, all starting at 500 reputation points for redemption. The most expensive one was a set of alchemy vessels capable of crafting Philosopher's Stone, worth 20,000 reputation points.

It was a heartbreaking number.

Ellie Miller could only reluctantly look away.

Back at the "Alchemy Hut," the preservation cabinet had already been placed in the corner. Its size was like a freezer, but upon opening it, Ellie discovered it was as big as a cellar. People could even climb down the ladder.

The woman was in a state of excitement after shopping, Ellie Miller immediately harvested all the "evil" magical plants in the garden, then sorted and placed them in the preservation cabinet.

She embraced the 9 bottles of Healing Potion she had made and was about to leave. Before heading out, she slapped her forehead, remembering she had to make [Forgetfulness Potion] for the Duke.

This was related to gold coins; she couldn't forget.

Fortunately, the "evil" magical plants received this time were plentiful, enough for her to study.

As Ellie Miller left the Alchemy House, she had already missed the lunchtime on the south side.

She called in the maid, "Is there anything to eat in the kitchen?" She wanted to make do with something.

The maid said, "His Highness hasn't eaten either; why not go to the north side and dine with His Highness?"

Ellie Miller thought she might as well, since her potions were done, and would have to send them to the Duke anyway.

Ellie Miller skillfully arrived at the study, raising her hand to knock on the door.

"Come in."

She opened the door to see a room full of tall knights. The Duke surrounding the sand table and Vice-Captain Balk, along with eight Great Knight Commanders, all turned their heads.

Seeing Ellie Miller enter, Vice-Captain Balk respectfully led the way with a salute, "Madam."

"Um, I came to deliver alchemy potions, and my maid said I could dine here."

A Great Knight Commander "devoutly" took the potions from her hand.

Due to Kostanyn's large size, the north and south wings of the castle each have a kitchen.

Artor Coldcrest often hosted knights in the north side's grand banquet hall, so the north side has a large kitchen while the south side has a small kitchen.

Artor Coldcrest then noticed the time.

"Let's stop here, let's go dine in the banquet hall." Artor Coldcrest gentlemanly opened the door for Ellie Miller, signaling her to go ahead.

"The red ones are [Healing Potion], and the three grayish ones are the [Forgetfulness Potion] you wanted."

"Much appreciated, Healing Potion is 27 gold coins per bottle, Forgetfulness Potion is 120 gold coins per bottle." Ellie Miller quietly emphasized.

The knights following behind to the banquet hall gasped.

They were greatly shocked.

"I thought, His Highness leading us to war was the way to make money." Great Knight Commander Kevin muttered.

Another Great Knight Commander Silcis remarked, "Now I see, robbing His Highness' lady is truly impressive."

Ellie Miller: "..."
