The girl's body heat made him break out in a sweat, absentmindedly holding her, lost in his thoughts.
He gently reminded her, "Promise me, Claire."
Claire Prescott came back from her trance.
She still didn't respond to his previous words, instead saying, "I want you to hold me tighter, as tight as you can."
Keane Lowell was momentarily speechless.
They sat in silence for a while.
He let go of her and slowly took off his suit jacket, then loosened his tie.
Claire silently watched his actions, her heartbeat gradually becoming erratic, "Why... why are you taking off your clothes?"
Keane's movements slowed, as if guessing her wild imagination, but he didn't explain anything, unbuttoning the first button of his shirt. He then sat down with her, letting her sit sideways on his lap.
His arm encircled her waist, fulfilling her request to hold her tightly.
