Shea Thorne, in an emotional outburst, jumped off a building, causing a storm throughout the city. It wasn't appropriate for her to appear for interviews, so Mr. Thorne arranged for her to undergo forced treatment in the hospital, handling all school matters himself.
The next day, Shea had calmed down a bit, and the police came to the hospital to take a statement. It was the same middle-aged officer who had talked her down. Together, they went through the entire incident and submitted all relevant materials.
