Mr Thorne only felt relieved after hearing her words, and after comforting her with a few more sentences, he hung up and immediately called Alice Lawson, who was still in Kingscrest.
He hadn't called her since she left home, but he knew Alice Lawson hadn't changed her phone number.
The first call went unanswered and automatically hung up. Mr Thorne's face darkened as he continuously called several more times before Alice reluctantly picked up the phone.
"Hello? Why are you calling me?!" Alice Lawson sounded very impatient on the phone, obviously aware it was Mr Thorne calling.
Mr Thorne didn't care whether she was happy or not and directly said, "Our daughter is being bullied at F University in Kingscrest, and her emotions are very unstable. She's been missing you all these years. Today she called me, and it looks like she's in despair and might try to harm herself. Can you go see her?"
