Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Professor Sinclair's Assessment

Milo Sinclair was walking slowly ahead with the violin case, while Shea Thorne followed behind. She wasn't familiar with the layout of National Medical University, and being night, she felt even more confused.

"Want to have dinner?" Milo slowed down to walk alongside her and added with a meaningful tone, "The kind without spending the night."

Recalling their previous encounters, Shea couldn't help but laugh, "Not tonight, in a few days I'll treat you, the kind without spending the night."

"For now, I don't mind whether we spend the night or not, but since I helped you with your injury today, how about you relax your five-year standard a bit?" Milo still remembered her hinting earlier about his age. Eating wasn't the main point here; this was.

Knowing that Milo was quite a few years older than her, Shea asked, "So tell me, to what extent should I relax the conditions?"

"Add the five years of your lower limit to your upper limit." Milo didn't hide it and directly told Shea his information, adding, "Though I'm a bit older, I guarantee, apart from age, I will treat you better than those twenty-something boys."

Shea didn't deny it. Older men with financial stability and maturity who know how to care for someone; Korean dramas have proven this long ago.

Looking at Milo again, his appearance and demeanor were impeccable, as for financial stability, this multimillion-dollar car should be proof of his decent income.

Indeed, stronger than Miles Crawford, and he's even Miles's mentor.

"When you treat me, I hope it will be the overnight kind. Every project has a trial period; you can evaluate me first, so in a few days, I'll treat you." Comparing himself to a project, he seems quite confident in himself.

Milo drove Shea back to F University. Unlike National Medical University, F University's size and facilities weren't as comprehensive, and Milo's car, being an outsider's vehicle, couldn't enter the campus.

"Thank you for the ride, Mr. Sinclair." Shea got out of the car and reached for her violin case in the back seat, only to be held back by Milo, who had also gotten out.

"If you're going to be friends with me, you can't be friends with my students, at least not now." Milo emphasized. He was aware of the situation with Miles, so Miles denying the relationship alone didn't mean much to him.

She was the kind of girl he wanted to develop a close relationship with, so she naturally couldn't have an inappropriate friendship with Miles.

Shea understood, picked up her violin case, and took back control, "I'm evaluating you, can a candidate still make demands?"

Does he think a single sentence can win her over, thinking she's some naive girl who just turned eighteen? Does he believe he can win her with just his looks and a couple of lines?

He really seems like a high school disciplinarian, speaking with a tone of command. Evaluating him required courage, so she must not give up control. He currently has no qualification to make demands on her.

Even though he had shown her a small favor just now, it wouldn't work.

Returning to her dorm, all three of her roommates were there. Seeing Shea return, they immediately pulled her over to gush excitedly, "Just now! Professor Sinclair's car from National Medical University was parked at our school gate, Ariana! Did you see it when you came back?"

Based on the timing, Shea returned just in time to see Professor Sinclair's car.

"Professor Sinclair's car…?" Shea was puzzled. Were they talking about Milo Sinclair?

"Yes, yes, that black Rolls-Royce Dawn, did you see it? It was parked right at our school's entrance." Sharon Somerset's eyes sparkled, she wished she could teleport to the school gate right then to take a look.

"Look, here's a photo, it looks exactly like this." Sharon, seeing Shea still puzzled, picked up her phone to show Shea a picture of Milo, "Aren't you always looking for Miles Crawford? Haven't you seen Professor Sinclair?"

That's unreasonable. Someone who frequents Jenson Hall should've seen Professor Sinclair, right?

Well... Shea found it hard to say. Ariana Thorne in her last life only had eyes for Miles Crawford, and following her lead, she hadn't seen Milo Sinclair either.

But with such a strong aura and presence, the fact that she had no impression of him might mean she simply never met him.

Milo Sinclair only seemed to appear at the music shop, and Ariana in her last life had long abandoned the cello, never visiting the music shop.

"It's still possible not to have seen Professor Sinclair, alright? Even our Jonah Bell doesn't see him every day." Rhonda Ford saw Shea not responding and assumed she was embarrassed about not having seen Milo while following Miles, so she chipped in to help, "He only consults twice a week, and I've heard many universities invite him for lectures abroad, so he's not around much."

Shea didn't know any of this, considering they were just discussing whether to have dinner overnight, they hadn't even successfully linked the two together yet, she quickly opened her laptop and searched for keywords about Milo Sinclair at National Medical University.

Many reports popped up, with National Medical University's profile showing a photo of Milo Sinclair dressed in doctoral robes, speaking at a lecture. With sharp features and piercing eyes, coupled with his stature and charisma, he looked every bit like the male lead from a teenage idol drama.

His resume was extensive; the youngest professor at National Medical University, and the most difficult mentor for students to enter under since he started teaching.

"He's known as the 'God' for students from other schools, the 'Grim Reaper' in his own students' eyes. It's said that if he fails students, it's nearly impossible to pass. His graduate students are the top of the top in the country, and after graduation, many hospitals are vying to hire them." Sharon Somerset continued enthusiastically beside her. Shea looked at the computer, acknowledging she had a more objective evaluation of Milo Sinclair.

National Medical University stands as a top-tier medical university in the country, with a long history and significant contributions to the domestic medical field.

Twenty years ago, the Dean of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Silvanus Sinclair, went abroad to exchange new cultures, bringing back the most advanced medical techniques and pooled the Sinclair family's resources to establish many new medical programs at National Medical University.

Ten years ago, the legendary senior Milo Sinclair was given a free pass by the school to study abroad, participating in the elite training program organized by the International Medical Alliance, colloquially known as the "Three-As-One" plan.

He was the first person to complete the program two years ahead of schedule, and upon returning with honors, he also introduced "Three-As-One" domestically, becoming the first professor in the country to integrate with "Three-As-One", leading students to contribute to international medicine.

For a time, this attracted numerous exceptional students to apply, and this year marks the third year.

In these three years, countless patents have been contributed, becoming renowned both domestically and internationally.

He personally has published numerous articles in authoritative journals within the field, considered a respected figure in the medical community. Of course, he has also appeared on the cover of People magazine, with his outstanding appearance and a white coat, winning over countless young girls.

Connecting Milo Sinclair with reality, Shea found people really fascinating, as this person had just shown an amorous interest in her.

Especially in reports that frequently mentioned Milo Sinclair's youthful successes, thinking about how he had just suggested she relax her dating age standards, in front of her, the "disciplinarian" was already kind enough — it takes time to link these two together.

Perhaps it's best not to mention it in the dorm, as they were already discussing what Milo Sinclair's body scent might be.

If she were to say Milo might be pursuing her, suggesting she could smell his scent anytime, her roommates might "sacrifice" her just to verify whether he wears cologne or task her with counting how long the hairs on his body are.

That's not even the scary part; the most frightening aspect is possibly being tasked upon return to write a ten-thousand-word report on whether Milo Sinclair has body scent.

The only regret was when Sharon Somerset mentioned a few days ago about people betting on who would be the first to ride Milo Sinclair's new car. The betting was still open, and if she had known earlier, she'd have placed a bet. By now, she could've made a lot of money.

Tsk, a significant loss.
