Rafael threw me a look of surprise as he made his way to the couch. "Someone leaked a video last night showing you getting cozy with Kolton, the younger Zach son.
"The internet's convinced your entire family pulled strings to make your scandal vanish."
"With Lorelei fumbling through her livestream damage control, people started resharing that old Eliza footage, figuring the Zach are just protecting you," Rafael continued.
"The Zach Group's stock is crashing because of it," he concluded.
The pieces clicked into place instantly. My mess had dragged the Zach family back into the crosshairs, costing them money.
"Rafael, I'm so sorry," I mumbled, shame washing over me as I stared at the floor.
I'd never imagined my problems would pull the Zach family into this nightmare.
Rafael gave me a pointed look before sliding the folder across.
Confused, I took it and started flipping through the documents inside.
