Jenifer's POV
The officer looked at Lorelei, who was still putting on her defiant act even while in custody, and snapped, "Pipe down."
Lorelei reluctantly went quiet, but not before shooting me a look that could kill.
I couldn't have cared less, meeting her glare with complete indifference. To me, she was nothing more than a rabid dog on a leash—all bark, zero bite.
"Officer, in a situation like this, could she actually end up behind bars?" I asked. I had some legal knowledge, but wasn't certain if Lorelei's behavior crossed that line.
The officer considered it. "If we can prove she fabricated those accusations, then yeah, prison time is definitely on the table."
The word 'jail' drained all color from Lorelei's face, but she still couldn't grasp the reality. "Are you serious? I just edited some footage and posted it online—that's supposed to land me in prison?"
