"What did you say?"

The guests could hardly believe their ears.

After hearing Bellamy's name, who dared to act so brazenly?

"Hey! You, with the glasses!"

Sarquiss strutted over with his girlfriend, playing tough.

"What do you think you are? Want to die? You dare talk to us like that? Do you know who my boss is?"

Scholar finally looked up. "No clue."

"Figures—a clueless nobody! Let me educate you,"

Sarquiss sneered, giving a thumbs up to himself.

"I'm Sarquiss, with a 380 million Berries bounty… but my captain Bellamy is worth 550 million! Too late to apologize now, four-eyes… your five minutes are up!"

He suddenly drew a knife, aiming it at Scholar's head!

The blade flashed, and in a heartbeat, it was headed for Scholar.

But—

"…Guess I'll have to say sorry…"

The glass of Scholar's specs glinted coldly, his eyes full of murderous intent.

"I don't usually kill worthless trash."

Instantly—

A chill swept the room.

Three minutes later, Scholar straightened his clothes and walked out of the hotel.

The hotel owner, terrified and trembling in a puddle, stared at bodies and blood everywhere.

Scholar didn't spare Bellamy's crew or their women—he killed them all.

This was cold-blooded, merciless; the owner couldn't believe he'd ever thought this man was a good guest.

To Scholar, wiping out a 50 million bounty rookie crew was barely a warm-up.

Wannabes who think they're untouchable don't last long.

But would that be enough…

He wondered how to kill someone truly dangerous.

Just then, drifting from a bar, he heard familiar laughter.

"Did you say the Sky Island? Hahaha… only idiots believe in such stuff!"

"Does space really have islands? You daydreamers are crazy!"

"Your Log Pose points to the sky? Morons—clearly your Log Pose is broken!"

"'Big liar Norland'—rookies!"

Sky Island…

Scholar remembered the 'big liar Norland' story.

"The ocean current forms a vortex, launching ships up to 10,000 meters, where a Sky Island and bird-people live—Norland's logbook said so."

Ten thousand meters…

Scholar grinned.

Perfect.

Elsewhere, Saitama, on course for Mary Geoise, got a weird feeling and turned to Tashigi.

"Tashigi… I get the feeling someone's badmouthing me again."

"You're too sensitive, Saitama,"

Tashigi said, staring out at the sea.

"Still… I can't accept that the World Government sent people to destroy Vivi's country, or to assassinate you."

"That's just one side's story; we don't know for sure yet,"

Saitama replied with a blank look, hands on the railing.

"So I'll go to the World Government and find out. If it's true, it only means they're scared of me."

"Oh?"

Tashigi blinked.

"Saitama, you're a good man—strong and reliable. Why would they be scared?"

"Exactly because I'm strong. People fear what they can't control,"

Saitama gently tapped her forehead with one finger.

"If someone's open-minded and good, they'll want me to join them. If they're cautious, they'll watch from afar. If they have a guilty conscience… they'll try to eliminate me by any means."

"But… is Righteous Treasure so easily eliminated?"

Just as he finished, without warning, a massive Knock-Up Stream exploded under Saitama's warship!

Hundreds of tons of ship were launched into the clouds—

1,000 meters.

2,000 meters.

At 10,000 meters above the sea!

On a nearby island, Scholar closed his storybook about Norland and sneered.

His Illustrated Handbook Fruit could bring drawings to life for a short time—killing an Admiral-level prey was easy.

With Saitama's warship thrown 10,000 meters into the sky, once Scholar shut off his power, the Knock-Up Stream would disappear, and Saitama would plummet straight down.

Over 200 meters up, water and ground were equally fatal.

No matter how tough Saitama was, nobody could survive that fall.

All Scholar had to do was wait three days for the body, then snatch it up and report completion.

Too easy!

So Scholar waited.

After three days, his web trap hadn't caught anything falling from the sky.

He was baffled.

What was going on?

From 10,000 meters, something should have fallen by now!

Starve to death before he even saw a body!?

Scholar finally gave up and went for a meal…

Up in the clouds at ten thousand meters above the ocean,

Saitama's warship landed softly in the cloud sea.

Normally, it would've fallen straight into the sea, smashed to bits.

But these clouds felt solid.

They actually cushioned and held up the ship!

The Marines with Saitama—and Tashigi—were stunned by the ride and now clung to the mast, hearts pounding.

Only Saitama was completely unmoved, hopping off and stomping the clouds.

"Pretty solid!"

"Hey, Tashigi!"

He cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted,

"Do you think we're really floating on clouds right now?"
