Chapter 1 - Chapter: 1 Prologo

The End of the Timeline

The timeline had reached its end.

Not through sudden destruction, but through inevitability. To understand this, one first had to understand the existence of multiple world lines.

In theory, countless possibilities exist—endless branches born from every choice. Yet most of them remain nothing more than hypotheses. Reality follows only one path.

This phenomenon was known as convergence.

No matter how events unfolded, the world line would always arrive at the same conclusion.

Just like the legend of King Arthur:

whether he drew the sword from the stone or not, Britain was destined to fall.

This world was no different.

Fuyuki City.1994

Shinkansen Station.

Seated on a row of public benches, Mr. and Mrs. Fujimaru listened absently to the chatter of nearby passengers. Their gazes, however, kept drifting back to the child sitting between them.

Shirou Fujimaru.

Their eyes were filled with pride and affection.

After the collapse of the economic bubble two years earlier, the nation had entered a prolonged recession. Entertainment had grown scarce, and for many people, novels had become the last refuge from daily stress.

No one could have imagined that one of the most talked-about works among young readers had been written by a child not yet eight years old.

Shirou noticed his parents' expressions and offered a perfectly timed, innocent smile.

That should be the right reaction, he thought.

After all, Fujimaru Shirou was not an ordinary child.

He was a transmigrator.

More precisely, someone reborn into another world, whose memories of his previous life had remained fragmented until six months ago. Only then had everything finally fallen into place.

This was not just another world.

This was the Fate/Type Moon universe.

And he was in Fuyuki City.

He had not lost his name.

He had not become Emiya.

He had not experienced the baptism of the Fuyuki Fire.

Shirou wanted no heroism, no miracles, no Holy Grail.

He only wanted to live.

But the world had no intention of granting him such a simple wish.

According to the future he remembered, Fuyuki would become the stage of a catastrophe. Even surviving it would mean nothing in the end.

By 2016, this world was destined to face the Incineration of Human Order.

Not the death of individuals—but the erasure of humanity as a concept.

And Shirou knew it.

He tried to persuade his parents to move. He failed.

He tried to change fate directly. It was far too early.

So he did what he could. He stood out, became a prodigy, improved his family's finances. He bought himself time.

During a summer trip, however, he discovered something even more troubling.

Beyond Fuyuki, Misaki City existed.

So did Dead Apostles.

So did vampires.

And worse—there were signs of multiple ritual systems that should never have coexisted.

If two incompatible foundations truly existed in this world, then destruction was inevitable.

August 25th.

As Shirou waited for the bus with his family, a chill ran down his spine.

A girl approached him.

Black hair.

Blue eyes.

A presence he recognized instantly.

"My name is Ayaka Sajō."

In that moment, Shirou understood.

This world line was already broken.

Then—

A metallic chime echoed through the air.

Ding. Dong.
