Chapter 149 - Ch 149: Just a private residence?

‎Heart clone had given them no instructions on how to use it, so when they examined the object more closely, confusion settled over them because the device looked completely ordinary—just a smooth, unremarkable stone one might find by the roadside, without any buttons, screens, runes, or markings to indicate its function.

Suddenly Mordan reached out and touched the stone, and the instant his fingers made contact, a flood of clear, detailed instructions poured directly into his mind, explaining exactly how to activate and use the device.

He pulled his hand back in surprise, eyes widening at the sheer magic of it—knowledge transferred so instantly and perfectly that it felt almost alive.

His subordinates noticed the stunned look on his face, and the daring one who had earlier been sent on his terrifying flight asked hesitantly, "Sir, this stone can actually work, right?"

Mordan shot him an angry glance and scolded sharply, "You still doubt Sir Heart? He should have made you fly a little longer to learn some respect—this device is truly magical and far beyond anything we can comprehend, so Sir Heart simply fed the instructions straight into my mind the moment I touched it."

Remembering the bone-chilling experience of plummeting from the edge of space, the subordinate quickly bowed his head and apologized in a trembling voice, "Sir, I'm sorry—I won't doubt Sir Heart again. You're right, we can't understand its mysteries."

Mordan ignored the apology and turned to one of the other subordinates, speaking with calm authority, "Okay, now take these letters and deliver them personally to the listed individuals—only to them, no one else. No one is to open them, understood?"

The subordinate nodded quickly, gathered the letters with careful hands, and exited the room.

As he stepped into the hallway, he saw the guards standing exactly where they had been earlier, completely motionless as though nothing had happened, and he shook his head in quiet awe, thinking to himself that Sir Heart was truly powerful and mysterious beyond imagination.

Mordan watched the subordinate leave to carry out the task, then turned back to Umang, who spoke up thoughtfully, "Sir, why didn't we ask Sir Heart for help in opening that sealed valley in East India? He is so strong, he could definitely open it for us, right?"

Mordan nodded in agreement, recognizing the logic in the suggestion, and then focused his thoughts on the black token, activating the communication device with a single mental command.

In just a second, Mordan, Umang, and the daring subordinate saw Heart's half-figure emerge from the stone like he had been standing right there all along, the projection clear and lifelike.

Heart Clone, already anticipating the call, spoke first in his familiar warm tone, "You want to know how to open that valley in East India, right?"

Mordan was momentarily surprised that his thoughts had been read so easily, and he glanced suspiciously at the stone for a brief second, wondering if it was some kind of spy device, but he quickly dismissed the idea—Sir Heart had no reason to spy on them when he could read minds effortlessly from thousands of kilometers away with his own power alone.

Mordan composed himself and replied respectfully, "Yes, Sir Heart, we would greatly appreciate your help in opening that valley in East India, and in exchange we can provide you with resources, manpower, or fulfill any future requests you may have."

But Heart Clone simply shook his head gently and answered, "You don't have to focus on that valley—it is not a secret realm or dungeon. That is where my house is, so don't waste your time or effort trying to open it."

With those calm words, the half-figure faded away, cutting the communication without waiting for a reply.

When Mordan heard Heart's words—that the sealed valley in East India was not some secret realm or hidden dungeon, but simply the house of a powerful person—he was left completely dumbfounded, his mind struggling to process the sheer scale of it.

Umang and the daring subordinate shared the same stunned expression, realizing that all their months of planning, resources, and effort to crack open the valley had been completely wasted on something that turned out to be nothing more than someone's private residence.

But they quickly sobered up, shaking off the disappointment when they reminded themselves that they had gained something infinitely more valuable—a direct connection with a being of unimaginable power—and that alone was more than enough to outweigh any lost time or resources.

Mordan recovered first and turned to Umang with a firm tone, instructing him clearly, "Cancel all operations on that valley immediately, and declare it a permanent forbidden zone—no one is allowed to approach it, no expeditions, no probes, nothing."

He paused for emphasis, eyes serious.

"I don't want anyone disturbing Sir Heart and risking the connection we've just built with him—India's future may depend on keeping his favor."
