Chapter 8 - Orochimaru's test (final)

Bunch of shameless brats" he couldnt help but say.

Elsewhere—

Jumping from tree to tree ebisu, anko and shintoki were looking for the snake.

"I can see a form shrouded by some kind of illusory barrier — must be the snake," thought Shintoki. His eye now red and focused on finding the snake.

"Let's hurry, sensei had just found out that we were a clone. He will be here soon. " say Anko.

He then moved, his movement very kick and chakra fully channeled through his chakra through his blade launching consecutives strike.

"Flicker Slash Dance!" (Slashing several times on the soil, causing debris to fly and dust to cover the field before using Kawarimi to get to safety.)

The snake, seeing it was discovered, shot out of its hiding spot. Attempting to get away and speed up to another part of the wood.

"Shuriken Whirl Dance!" exclaimed Ebisu. The shuriken struck the snake making it hiss in irritation and forcing it to dispel.

A long sword then fell to the ground. The sword was beautiful. It clearly was a katana of great importance. If only he could keep it.

"Good, now Get it!"

But before they could move to retrieve the sword, the ground shook, and a huge snake now stood between them and the sword that Orochimaru had taken away.

The snake lowered itself and swallowed the sword.

"What the hell?!"

Ebisu was terrified — just the size of the snake was enough to terrify anyone. And did it just swallow the sword they needed to finish this crazy test?!

Now they have to start all over again.

Things just got much more troublesome.

But as sommoene who already achieved the rank of chunin Ebisu wouldn't back down. Indeed one doesnt simply become a chunin expecialy in this time. A chunin is someone who have already faced death and made it out. After all chunin risked their life in the exam for promotion.

It would take much more than a snake to impress him, Ebisu was thinking — or perhaps lying to himself.

"Damn it, Orochimaru-sensei isn't going easy on us. How are we supposed to win this test now?"

In Anko's mind, she couldn't be certain if they could beat such a snake. Forget this one — in the past, Orochimaru had summoned smaller snakes to scare her, and she couldn't even fight back against them. How her team was supposed to overcome this huge beast, she had no idea.

"Well, seems like we'll have to defeat that snake to get the sword now."

"Be ready we are giving our all this time" say shintoki seriously.

This is their last chance.

Orochimaru ordered for his snake to attack.

In a mere fraction of a second, the snake descended on Ebisu's position, but he managed to jump out of the way.

Wood, stone, and dust were sent flying by the snake upon impact, and the trembling ground shook heavily.

...

Elsewhere, in training ground 15 nearby—

"What was that earthquake?"

A man wearing a jumpsuit with a chunin veste was training in an area. He had completed his laps around the village and were now doing exercises to stretch his muscles and strenghen his physique.

But the sudenly stood frozen.

"What kind of explosion could cause that?"

But after a moment his interest picked up.

Yooosh! Some are having a pasionate fight of Young. I will work even harder. I murst not fall behind. Kakashi after I'm done I am coming for you. We need to share a pasionate fight of Young too.

Indeed at this time guy was already a chunin.

...

We see Ebisu, Anko, and Shintoki. They were currently battered but unyielding.

The snake that was assaulting them grimaced — the ants before him were very stubborn. Even with its collosal size they just wont give up. They were iritating for the great snake.

It hissed in anoyance and disdain.

But this only fueled the resistance.

"Shuriken Whirl Shuriken Technique!" The attack left some marks on the snake's scales — though barely visible, it was clear it left an impact.

The snake then shot toward them with deadly intent.

"Water Release — Rippling Wall!"

Water exploded before Ebisu; the snake slammed itself on the wall forming before it, sending water splashing everywhere. But no matter how many times it collided with the barrier, it remained unshakable and stood tall.

Orochimaru, seeing the snake having a harder time, decided not to interfere.

He had already made things too hard for these three brats — that they managed to handle themselves until now was in itself a miracle. This proved that these youngsters were very talented and would, in the future, become powerhouses — especially Shintoki, if he matured and didn't die before reaching his prime.

They still ended up being pushed away.

Orochimaru glanced at Shintoki.

His strength had clearly reached the peak of chūnin level, so it was clear that the circumstances surrounding his team's fall were anything but normal. After all, any other Konoha team that participated was killed. Shintoki's team, having encountered the same team that killed the others, managed to make it out while also killing one of their members — resulting in that team also being disqualified despite their strength.

Orochimaru wasn't blind — the Kiri team member who survived would still be promoted once back in their village. They never truly participated in the exam; their intention from the start was to kill every Konoha team.

Shintoki, seeing the snake off balance, shot toward it, chakra radiating from his sword, slicing releasing a razzor wind toward the massive snake.

Blood erupted from the snake's body, and it hissed in pain. At the same time, Ebisu hurled several shurikens.

Ebisu's shuriken technique was duplicated by Anko using the Shuriken Shadow Clone, creating the Multiple Shadow Shuriken Combo.

Hundreds of shuriken glinted with deadly intent and shot toward it in a swirling motion. They landed, causing a huge explosion that shook the area.

The massive snake was violently thrown back before falling to the ground, blood flowing from every pore of its body.

"Pooof!"

The snake dispelled, returning to the land of the snakes — a sword descended from within it.

Shintoki, having predicted this since the snake was dead, swiftly moved in a blur, fast enough to catch the sword. His momentum absolute.

Shintoki also completed his hand signs and finished a jutsu.

He gathered most of his chakra and shot his kunai toward the orochimaru with all his might— the strength of the throw caused them to release sparks of chakra.

Orochimaru, seeing this, tried one last stand.

He shot toward Shintoki, who was also moving toward the sword dropped byvthe collosal snake, and performed a sealless move — wind started to pick up and grew stronger before shooting toward Shintoki and his group.

Waves and waves of wind gathered and pushed toward Shintoki. Threatening to crush him and his freinds.

The Woods suroundng them were already showing crash just from the build up.

The kunai clashed with the incoming waves, advancing a few inches before stopping, losing some of their strength, then the waves pushed the kunai away and blasted it right back in Shintoki's direction.

Shintoki, seeing this, formed a water clone. The clone stood between Shintoki and the incoming waves, absorbing the shock before dispelling, causing water to splash everywhere.

When the wind technique dispelled, Shintoki was standing there exhausted. Anko was also clearly tired, and Ebisu was kneeling, facing toward Orochimaru.

Then Ebisu grinned — the sword already caught within his hand.
