Chapter 137 - Sister IV

(Ellion's POV)

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked her

She leaned back, supporting her weight with her arm, "You are a Knight." She said, "You currently live in luxury, do you not? You have been Knighted and legitimized by the King himself. You are living a life better than any of us."

I blinked, "Hm...."

"And you think you will be different than those men?" She asked, "Don't make me laugh. Even if you are a bastard, born from a whore, you are in a position higher than anyone else could ever be in."

"What's your point?" I asked

"My point is....." She said, "Don't complain about what our Mother did, when you are in a position most bastard-born would die to have."

I didn't say anything.

Obviously, what she says is true. I am a Bastard-born Knight, legitimized by the King and given special privileges. And that is regarding this world itself and its fundamental laws. Above all of that, I am something else, something more.

I'm an individual with power like no other, yet I still act and feel like I belong in this place. But it doesn't matter if I am not from here. I was born and raised in Westeros, every single experience I have had was real.

Is it so bad to feel emotions regarding them? Even if I am someone with Haki, a power far greater than anything this world has seen, I can't help but feel the frustration of a mere bastard who was abandoned by his parents. Even if I am stronger than anyone in the Kingdom, I can't help but feel like I am insignificant at times.

All because I didn't know the love of a Mother.

Is that truly what drives me?

I don't know.

Either way, I already know who my Mother is.

And I know her body more than I know her.

I know how her insides feel more than I know what kind of woman she is.

And that is what bothers me the most.

Because it is not just her that I laid with, my own sisters as well.

Is that the problem I have right now? One that I am trying to ignore? I committed a sin and here is this woman, my own sister, telling me that it is nothing compared to the real issue that is implied; that I am a man like the rest.

Am I like the others? Am I like the men who would trample on someone like Eyla or Elayna? Or Elle?

Or am I different?

Would Rhaella and Joanna fall in love with me if that were the case?

I don't fucking know.

"You could say that it was the best decision she could possibly make, our Mother." Eyla continued, gesturing at the room, "To hand you over to the old man you say that raised you. Because who knows what you could've ended up as if you stayed with us? Dead, more than likely."

"Hm...." I said

She stood up and stepped up to me, "Are you truly going to let that detail hang over you?" She asked, placing her hand on my cheek, "Who cares if you bedded us?"

"I do." I said with a frown, "What I did was wrong. I-"

"It was a mistake. An accident." She said, "It could've happened to anyone."

Yea, that is what they all say.

I truly am Oedipus, huh?

"Hm..." I said, pulling away and turning around, "You say that I turned out better than I would have hoped for if I stayed with you three. But guess what? In the end, I was attracted by the allure of a Brothel. I can't deny the nature of it, I wager."

Eyla chuckled, "Don't let her hear that." She said, "She would be heartbroken to hear those words."

I looked at her, "Well, I can't exactly lie, can I?" I asked, "At the end of the day, here I am. I am in the one place where you would think she wouldn't want me. I was at the Masked Party, wasn't I? In the end, I inherited her Lust."

She tilted her head, "You could be right about that." She said, "But do you think she would be proud of that? Have you spoken to her again? She is to come to this Brothel tonight and work."

The mere thought of her working made me shudder. That is the last thing I wanted to hear.

I scowled immediately, "I don't want to see her face."

"Why not?" She said, "It would be good if you spoke to her. You need to accept what happened and we could work it out."

"If I am to stay here for the next couple of days, it would be best if she isn't here." I said

"Why would you stay here?" She asked, "Don't you have a nice and warm chambers in the Red Keep? I am envious just thinking of it."

"Don't worry about that." I said, "Just know that Rose is kind enough to allow me to stay."

"How fortunate of you." She said before sighing, "Well, I need to work, whether you like it or not. So if you don't mind, I would appreciate it if you leave me to it."

I sighed, "If you want."

"I mean...." She said, "Unless...."

I looked at her, she was raising her eyebrow, giving me a slight smirk.

"What?" I scowled again, "No. I won't ever touch you again."

"Haha..." She laughed, "I was just jesting, you truly are disgusted by what happened."

I made my way to the door, "If any of these men hurt you, let me know." I said, "I'll kill them."

I heard her laugh again, "Ahaha, good one."

I stopped and gave her a serious look, saying nothing.

Her face then sunk in realization, "Oh." She said softly, "Y-You are serious."

I nodded, "Yea."

She cleared her throat, "Well, worry not." She said, "Nobody has harmed me yet. As for Elayna, though. She does have the most enthusiastic drunks lusting after her. Maybe if you give her a vis-"

"Tch..." I said, walking out the door,

"Shut up."
